Hey guys,

New to the boards, interested in starting BIAB brewing. I am trying to download the spreadsheet calculator, having a bit of trouble. It's not allowing me to download. Any ideas?

Good Day Brewers
I am from Stevens Point Wisconsin. The last time I brewed was 30 years ago. My son is a traditinal AG brewer and I have enjoyed his beer. I have just retired and since he never has enough beer for me, it is time to start again. After reading the forums I figure this is a good way to get back into brewing.

Hi! I live in Richmond, Virginia, USA, and was pointed to this site from someone on the HomebrewTalk forum. I've been brewing for a little over five years, all grain for about three, and now I'm preparing my second batch of BIAB/No-Chill, a lovely Irish-ish stout.

My setup is fairly basic: a 70-quart aluminum kettle with spigot, bulkhead, and bazooka screen installed, plus the steamer basket which holds the grain bag and makes draining/straining so easy, and one (for now)6-gallon HDPE container to store the hot wort.

I'm really liking the BIAB/NC brewing because I live in an apartment, don't have an outdoor water source, and running water from the apartment to the brew site outside would be very inconvenient.

Hope I can get some great tips from the site, and maybe offer up some of my own!

Hi,

I live in Coventry, England. I saw a link to this site on www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk
I've been brewing extract for about a year and brewing from kits for a couple of years before that. I was thinking of going all gain next year. I don't have much space to brew so am considering BIAB.

Hi All,

I've moved to Southern California, so I'm looking to make my brew days simpler, but also more water efficient due to local constraints. I'm eager to read up on BiaB as well as no-chill.

Hi,

Like others, I came across this site via www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk. I've been reading some of the great information on this board and hope to get BIABing very soon. What attracts me to this method is the small amount of kit needed. I'm English but live in Normandy in France and have been making cider for the past three years so have some fermentation stuff already to hand. Well, what doesn't already have apple juice in it.
So far I have only made one kit beer which is conditioning in the garage but smelt good enough to want to get to the next step as soon as possible. I'd really like to be able to brew some proper ale as it is not easy to get hold of in rural France. Looking forward to learning more and trying it for real once I've got the rest of my kit together.

Hi to all,
Living in Bolton UK
Came across this forum on a link from Jims site in UK. Looking to get into AG and as I don't want loads of kit the boil in a bag approach caught my eye. As easy as boiling rice !!!!!!
Gonna read up on it on here and give it a got over christmas.

Hi fellow brewers. Hailing from Montreal, Canada. I discovered this site while doing research my for my next recipe, hopefully a Belgian Strong Dark Ale. I'm quite new to brewing, with only a handful under my belt, but my last brew was BIAB. Though it was a real time saver, I wasn't totally happy with my efficiency. Now I'm looking for ways to improve it. I'm sure I'll find lots of answers here.

Hi all

I'm Tom from the Wirral ( just over the water from Liverpool ). Used to brew all grain in my youth but gave up once the kids started popping out......
Restarted about 18 months ago from kits before moving on to extract brews. Did a partial mash/partial boil a few months ago and that turned out better than expected so my 2nd one has just gone into my spare barrel. Been thinking about saving a bit of time and hopefully making less mess by trying BIAB. Found out about it on Jim's forum but thought I'd register here as the some of the guys that post there are from here. Planning to try it out when I do my next brew, should have an empty barrel in a month or so :) I'll probably have a few questions as the time approaches so be gentle with me :salute:

Cheers Tom

Hey all,

Glen hailing from Newcastle, NSW. Been brewing for a long time, moved to all grain a year or so. Tried my first BIAB with a cream ale that never got to the bottling stage. My fault, and lets just say it eventually was used as fertilizer ;)

I recently moved to the area and left my big brew kettles and mashtuns with the folks and until I am able to get the gear here or buy new equipment, BIAB is the easiest way to brew for me right now.

Gday all

I'm David from Adelaide and i've been kit brewing for roughly 10 years on and off and am now looking forward to giving the BIAB a go. Im planning on my first brew next week (i have to wait for my fermenter to be empty) I have the most of the equipment just need a decent size pot so I am looking at buying a 40litre pot this week and then giving a nice and hopefully easy IPA a go. Once registered expect a couple of questions.

Cheers

Hello fellow brewers,

I'm located in Mount Kisco, NY and joined this Forum as I'd like to learn how to improve my efficiency using BIAB techniques. Thus far I've only used BIAB for partial mashes, which have turned out very well, however I'd like to get my efficiencies to at least 70%.

My brewing focus is on English ales and milds.

I saw a link to these Forums from the Homebrewtalk Forum.

Greetings. I'm a relatively new brewer from Pennsylvania (US) and have mostly been doing extract and partial mashes. Since my standard brew is 2.5 gal, the mini-BIAB is just my size. Cheers.

Hi All,

I'm from near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I started brewing 4 years ago.first with extracts then all grain batch sparging. I heard about biab on homebrewtalk.com and then searches on Google. I'm still gathering up my equipment and hope to be brewing in a bag soon.

Prost!

Hiall
Wayne from uk. Not brewed before hoping to try out mini BIAB this weekend. Keen beer drinker brewed ciders and wine and reckon its time to do beer. Dont think kits will satisfy and extract seems to be quite expensive as is 3V for first go this system seems ideal. Great site with plenty of info.
Cheers
