Welcome into the group. You are in the right place at the right time in writing brewing history. Your chapter is yet to come.
Thank Bob,

Been doing a heap of research into AG Brewing and decided that BIAB is the way to go.
Looking forward to getting my equipment together in the coming months and getting a brew on.

Cheers.

The last day or so has been very slow for some reason. Usually it is a lot faster.

Welcome aurel,

Fort Worth, Texas here.

I've been brewing for three years now.

I'm looking to build a fully automated BIAB system and this place just keeps coming up in the google searches. So after reading, figured I'd join.

Looking forward to receiving all of your knowledge and contributing nothing until I have something to offer.

1. Where are you from? Adelaide, Australia
2. How did you stumble across the site? Heard about it on a "Basic Brewing" podcast
3. What you think of it so far? So far so good
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using? Extract and speciality grains till now. Looking to step up to BIAB
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household? Full-time.

Thanks to the folks running the show here. It looks like a good resource.

Burt Gummer, That sounds like a fun project. Be sure to take some pics and tell us all about your setup.

interestedparty, There is something more satisfying in doing everything from the start. Also, going All-Grain opens the door to brewing different styles of beer. It would be tough to brew a Bock if you can't find Munich malt extract.

Hello everyone,

Brewer from Stafford VA, in the US. Came here after reading BIAB on another site. Right now I brew only extract kits. Looking to expand my knowledge into the all grain side of things. I can get about 6 kits done throughout a year. Looking for a quick way to continue to brew beer, but up the quality of the beer. Time is tight with family and other expensive time consuming hobbies (woodworking, photography).

Hope to learn a lot from this site. Take care

tmartin110,
Welcome to the site. Brewing beer at home is more than making quality beer. It's brewing quality beer and sharing it. Your other hobbies will come in handy by making brewing equipment and taking pictures of your brewing projects to share with us!

Hi from Oamaru New Zealand
I'm a pom been here 4 1/2 years.
Been lurking for quite awhile reading on and off putting together some equipment got a 40 litre urn with a 3500 kw element catermaster.
Have a Sunsplash Golden Ale clone mini mash to do tomorrow then after that i will give this biab a go been slowly building up to it i did start with kit and kilo mainly coopers and brewtec but now keen to lose that kit taste.
I do miss some of the english pub beers so it would be nice to make some similar and of course to try new ideas and styles.
I am looking at NRB's All Amarillo APA as my first.
Regards to all and thank you for such a great informative site

tingtong,

Welcome to the island of misfit brewers. Living in NZ you have plenty of experience in brewing on a island. The hard part is keeping the wort in the pot while your brewing upside down. Welcome again!

Hi, I am from Oklahoma in the USA. I have been extract brewing for several months now ( this time around)and have been wanting to get into all grain but both the investment in equipment and finding the space to keep it has kept me from taking the next step. I am excited to learn that I can improve my beer using mostly the equipment I already have.

I am looking forward to learning all I can about BIAB.

Alan
