Adman, lylo stole the lead from me last year on the very last game if memory serves me correctly? I cursed him at the time and since then his house burned down, his dog died and his wife ran off with another woman (well, a woman). I reckon it's probably best to play it safe and not play in the next two games .

Players.

I have modified the Cheese program to NOT show the picks you made publicly. The word ( Hidden ) is shown where your pitiful guesses normally are. My accurate and insightful answers are hidden also to keep you from copying me and winning.

The picks will be hidden also for the Super-bowl on February 2nd 2014.

Thanks again for playing this crazy contest.

Luckily the average picks are still visible... I don't know if this helps or not?

I think I'll just randomly guess as usual, that way if I score badly it doesn't reflect on my analysis skills, just poor guessing.

And there's still time for Bob to shoot us all down! :argh:

My position is weak, but I have my vast football reservoir of knowledge to dip into. Look where it got me last year and this. The average player numbers are there but has someone made very wild predictions to throw off the averages? Only to change them to his real numbers just before the game?

I will share some information here. The average score the last two times these two teams met in Seattle was Seattle 35 and San Francisco 8 (42 to 13 and 29 to 3) So will the scores hold true? Will San Francisco be crushed again?

All,

I will be waiting anxiously for the postman to deliver the cheques. If I receive enough? I will be able to afford to mail the prizes out! It's going to be hard to catch PP :shoot: But mathematically it can be done!

I do think that BIABacus has a secret page that figures out the picks for Cheese? Or PP is just taking the averages of everybody else and playing that? I never got around to checking out the averages as a player? Wow! For next year I will have a fictitious player names "Joe Average" and have the program play it with everyones averages? Interesting?

The program puked (failed) last night. When it reaches the kick off when the game started. It normally shows the names and picks below without the scores (of course). This time it was blank?? So I had to find a older version that worked and I uploaded to get it to show the correct way. I am going to work on the fix now. I don't know what triggered it? Maybe end of season involved? Anyway I am going to get on it now!

Good luck all! February second is the Super Bowl for the world championship. The game is broadcast around the world so you can watch it to see if you win or if PP :shoot: Chokes and loses? Good luck in two weeks! :luck:

P.S.
Not that it makes any difference? The player Grand_Busha with 124 points is my 91 year old Mom who lets me pick for her. "It's too complicated! You pick for me." So again, It doesn't count for anything to us but..... and A_Packer_Fan is me also. I was using it to test the program and I just left it in. A_Packer_Fan has 114 points! I am just saying.....

BobBrews is the no account slacker that counts towards our BIAB champion. :idiot:

Hahaha Bob ,

Look, I'm as bewildered as you guys as to why I am winning this comp :smoke:. I do honestly know nothing about rushing/passing etc etc. The only reason I even play here is it forces me to read more witty posts by Bob and you others.

Last week I picked the actual scores but I did that by doing some googling and taking an average of opinions which may not have been the actual average as I had just got off an aeroplane and was rehydrating with liquids like IPA's. As for picking who would first and last score, my picks were contradictory but my thinking was that the home team would be so busy listening to the roar of the crowd they would forget about the actual game. Meanwhile, the away team would be just focussed on the game.

As for the rest of my picks, I think I spent ages trying to work out what that email Bob sends us each week actually meant. I still have no idea and I'm not sure I got any points on that rushing/passing stuff anyway?

Joe Average would be a fun idea Bob but if it did well then maybe everyone would just copy Joe Average .

Crazy stuff ,

the Super Bowl is here

Players,

Get the Cheese done! Sunday February 2nd 6:30 PM Eastern time USA. The Superbowl will be played. Depending on where in the world you are you may be able to actually see the game! :argh:

The game is televised in every country on earth on some sort of sports channel! If you have to record it, do it! It's about time you saw what you are playing. Make sure your address is current if you are winning a prize. You might as well fill it in because I might feel like granting a boon and send out booby prizes to good sports????

Thanks again for playing and get ready for next August to play again and if you can persuade friends to play, who are not brewing buddies (just free beer junkies.) Recruit them. It makes it more fun when you have family playing even though they have no idea what they are doing? Play with more than one identity (if you have extra email addresses?) I don't care! :smoke:

For those who are in the race and beating me. :nup: Go to hell  !

Your truly

The Super Bowl was a crappy game and was a total surprise to everyone involved. Especially for Denver Broncos who expected to win. Denver has the best offense in NFL history but were totally crushed by Seattle by a score of 43 to 8 :sneak: (and the game was not as close as the score indicated!)

We expected a close and exciting game but it was a . Thanks again for playing and having fun with each other.

Joco you started strong and finished strong . You probably just need some of Bob's consistency now. Oh, hold on, maybe not . You know what I mean .

Missed out on making BIABrewer famous by two points and that was after about a half hour googling score predictions . I still have no idea how to read that statistic thing Bob sends out every week let alone knowing what rushing, passing, offense and defence mean. :?

Anyway, another fun season. Was great to have new players this year and hopefully we'll get more next season. Thanks for the fun reads here guys .

And, of course, as Joco said above, most thanks needs to go to Bob for all the great laughs and masses of time he puts into Cheese.

Good on you Bob. You are a legend :peace: :drink:  :salute: :champ:.

Well, last week I was hoping to win a Winnebago. This week I can say I won one Winnebago! Then, when I won the one Winnebago, I wondered if one would see it within one week. Whether this would be so would wholly depend on whether the weather was wild and woolly but who would know what the weather would do? Anyway, wet weather permitting, is there any way I will see a Winnebago within one week Bob? I can't wait! And I want it to be white to withstand the woefully warm weather we welter in in WA. Well, this para is woeful, not what I wanted but when you're a winner, what can one say?

I think I have gone mad :argh:. It's the pressure of the Cheese :o.

Mind you, looking at my score... Maybe I need to dedicate more time to this sport

Thank you Mally.

I edited the post! Please forgive me. You earned bragging rights! Next year I will start trying harder and earlier! The game was a BUST. Everyone expected a great game with the best scoring team and the best defensive team playing against each other.

They set a NFL record with one team leading for 59 minutes and 48 seconds in a 60 minute (playing time) game! What a farce! Anyway, lots of people and corporations made lots of money and the simple folk gave it to them and that's all that counts? Right? I gained 2 pounds in junk food and beer!

Now that the fat lady has sung it's time to take stock and review what I've learnt this season.

I know very little about the sport, but slightly more than I did 6 months ago.
My guessing prowess needs some work if I wish to compete at the highest level. (PP)
If I brag about my future performance in the style of Bob I achieve scores in the style of Bob!

Thanks for all the work you put into Cheese each week Bob. It's been a lot of fun.

I think now is the time to start planning the 2015 Superbowl superbrew. All we need is a suitable recipe.
I'll leave it up to either the Head Cheese (PP) or the Mature Cheese (Bob) to suggest something fitting the occasion.
