Players,
The Packers took the ball down to the end zone but time ran out and the Packers left their blood in the snow. The visiting Steelers won a closely fought game 38 to 31. We failed on the last throw to tie the game. The whole county got their monies worth. The Packers fans lost the game and another 3 or 4 players. They might not have enough players left to field a team next week?

I must say Adman that Bob has me worried but not for the reason you mentioned. I slipped him a grand last week. He promised that this would ensure I won, not only this week on BIABrewer but also that I would remain in second place world-wide and then, better still, jump to only a one point difference between international first and second.

Well we certainly can't say that he didn't deliver :o.

But!!!

He is now asking for three thousand for me to win the comp next week. Three thousand for one point seems quite expensive but then again, what is a Winnebago worth?

My main worry though is that last week 'Treason' was winning the comp but this week didn't even put his picks in :nup:. I think Bob might have put a contract out on him to honour the one thousand I sent him. Why else wouldn't you put in your picks if you were coming first?* Furthermore, I think that Bob might have done the contract himself. Did any one else notice how he was quite suspiciously off-air for a few days here?

Anyway, I have sent him the three thousand (dollars, not words ) so it's probably safest if all of you forget to play next week :).
PP

*In all seriousness, can't tell you how close I came to forgetting to put my picks in this week. Worked yesterday (a Saturday) and therefore spent most of yesterday thinking it was a Saturday instead of a Sunday and was busy anyway. I reckon Treason must have fallen into the same trap but not got out poor bugger.

As you can see and have reasoned out. I am about to make my move. I have been patient and cleverly played my hands close to the belt. (no sex stuff intended with the hands!) Now is the time for the magic to happen. Even though the mighty Packers lost yesterday. We were lucky in that all the other teams in our division also lost! So this upcoming Sunday the crippled Packers will play the final game of the regular season. We will be playing the Chicago Bears for the division championship. The Bears were decimated last night 54 to 11. The winner will qualify for the playoffs which are elimination games. The loser is done for the season. :nup:

Win or lose? We will play each week so that we can continue to act silly, swap lies and bullshit. I will have to modify the program to accommodate the amended format so it might take a day or two to get input working correctly?

I want to thank everyone for playing and putting up with my brand of bullshit. I hope there will be no hard feelings when I score 30 points next Sunday and claim the championship. I will go from a stinky cheese to a head cheese in a matter of seconds. :smoke:

Players,

Aaron Rodgers has been activated off the injured list. He will be playing with no restrictions! This week is for all the marbles. Win and we play next week. Lose and we are done until next year. Cheese will still be played but not with the Packers.

The rankings of the playoff teams are figured out after the games Sunday and Sunday night. Depending on who wins what game the playoff teams will be set. There are two conferences (NFC and AFC) and the teams in each conference play within it to end up with one team in each conference to play in the Super-bowl. The Packers are in the NFC.

As you can see below it is very (simple? ) to figure out. :headhit:

NFC

Home-field advantage: Seattle, with a win on Sunday or a 49ers loss. Carolina can still earn home-field advantage with a win, a Seattle loss and a San Francisco win. San Francisco can still earn home-field advantage with a win and losses by both the Seahawks and the Panthers.

2 seed: Carolina clinches the NFC South and a first-round bye with a win or a New Orleans loss. New Orleans would clinch the NFC South and the 2 seed with a win and a Carolina loss. San Francisco would be the 2 seed with a win, a Seahawks loss and a Panthers win.

3 seed: Philadelphia clinches the 3 seed with a win on Sunday. If the Eagles lose, the 3 seed would either be the Bears (if they beat the Packers) or the Cowboys (if the Packers beat the Bears).

4 seed:
Green Bay will be the 4 seed with a win at Chicago on Sunday, a win the Packers are now favored to get with Aaron Rodgers back. Chicago will be the 4 seed if it beats Green Bay and Philadelphia beats Dallas. The Cowboys will be the 4 seed if they beat the Eagles and the Bears beat the Packers.

5 seed: San Francisco will be the 5 seed with a win and a Seahawks win. If the 49ers win and the Seahawks lose, the Seahawks will be the 5 seed. If the 49ers lose and the Saints win, the Saints will be the 5 seed and the 49ers will be the 6 seed.

6 seed: New Orleans will be the 6 seed with a win and a 49ers win. If the Saints win and the 49ers lose to the Cardinals, the Saints will be the 5 seed and the 49ers will fall to the 6 seed. If the Cardinals beat the 49ers and the Saints lose to the Buccaneers, the Cardinals will be the 6 seed and the Saints will be out of the playoffs

Players,

The Packers had a finish that will go down in history. At least short term anyway. The Packers won with an Aaron Rodgers TD on the last Offensive play. The Touchdown went from Aaron in his first game back from a broken collarbone to Randall Cobb who was playing his first game after returning from a broken leg. WOW! The Packer will host the San Francisco 49er’s next week!

The Packers will host the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field in the first round of the playoffs. The game will either be Saturday or Sunday, pending an announcement by the NFL.

You are having a great time. You deserve it! All that time studying statistics is paying off! You still win a prize for winning the second half (games 10 - 17) And you have a good shot at winning the whole enchilada! keep it going! I will give you time on your next payment. :smoke:

On November 4th the Bears broke Rodgers collarbone.

On December 29th Rodgers broke the Bears heart.

Classic game.

Players,

Black Monday has gone and went. (Black Monday) is the day the first group of coaches gets the sack. (Fired)! Only six coaches lost their jobs so far? The Packers are having some problems selling tickets because of the weather. The temperature is suppose to be about 4 degrees Fahrenheit (-15.5 C.) at the start of the game. Slowly dropping to -17 degrees Fahrenheit (-27.2 C.) at games end. These players use the same uniforms they wear when it's Hot in Summer! Sleeveless, bare arms, insane! :argh:

Get your Packer picks in NOW! The Packers are a underdog at home because the 49ers are very good! "Do the Cheese" times is running out!

Update,
An AccuWeather forecast is now calling for a high of minus 5 degrees (F) (-20.5C) and a low of minus 20 (-28.9C) in Green Bay for Sunday's wild card game between the Packers and San Francisco 49ers. The wind chill could drop as low as minus 51 (-46.1C).

Remember that your normal chest freezer stays about 0 degrees Fahrenheit or about -17.9 Celsius.

There are still some tickets available if anyone wants to go? (Dress Warm!)

P.S. Thanks Lylo  for sending the cold weather down. Monday's high temp should be about -15 Fahrenheit (-26.1C)! Sunday and Monday's nighttime temp is expected to be at -30F (-34.4C)! I am sure you are used to it? But I am not! keep it up there please. Cheers!

Bob,you know that you can never get used to it.as we age it becomes less inhabitable every year. We started winter in mid Nov. and we are now setting records for snowfall. The only saving grace is that as long as it is snowing it stays around -15c.
Melting yesterday,-6C today,-26 this weekend. There is no way I will be going outside at all much less to watch or play football.
Good luck with your guesses

Players,

The Green Bay Packers lost a heart breaker and are done for the season. The tie game was won with a field goal with 3 seconds left on the clock by a score of 23 to 20. The Packers had their chances against a superior team but fell short. The 3 degree -12 degree temperature was hell for the fans but seemed not to detour the players.

The next game is , Sunday, Jan. 12 at 1:05 p.m. ET
San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers

Yeah thanks. :shoot:

The game was watched by over 47 million people. The largest playoff TV total ever. 47 million people watched my Packers lose with 0 time on the clock. We lost the game but won a lot of admiration for our struggle with out most of our preferred players NOT playing.

I crashed my PC for good yesterday. I tried to fix it but I gave up and ordered a new one so, (again) I will be hit or miss on the forum. I am using my old PC but it is limited. I will be able to keep "Cheese" going because The work is done on the web itself. You can still lose cheese if you don't keep the pressure on us. good Luck!
