Hi everybody,

I'm from Nottingham (U.K.),for me it's been kits and partial mash for the last couple of years but I want to step up to AG-BIAB-No chill. Although the last isn't so much of a problem here at the moment as it's perishing freezing, still it is only April. Must say v impressed with the site friendly and informative.

Cheers

Neil

Hello all. Pegleg here, San Diego. About six months home brewing experience, and have done a few 20 gallon batches with a brewmaster at a small taproom. Doing BIAB as I transition to all-grain at home for ease of cleanup and equipment cost savings.

Hello all,

From Texas in the US. Pretty new to brewing with only a couple of extract kits under my belt. Want to move to all-grain and BIAB looks like the way to do it. Site looks great {already learned a lot}. Look forward to some great brews with the help of you guys.

My name is Chris and I am from Texas in the US. I started brewing about a year ago with extract kits. I quickly moved to partial extract and then tried an all grain BIAB. I really like the outcome and plan a lot more. I am still working on my setup, adding a recirc pump is next on my list. I heard about this site from another brewing forum. Oh, I work full time in oil and gas.

My kudo to the Ausie for comming up this system. After being a three tank brewer for years I love this system. I live in Lake Helen Florida, yes thats in the USA. Turning 65 this year and currently building a electric sake keg with the top cut off. I have not been brewing for the last 10 years, but caught the bug again when my son started brewing and asking me questions about home brewing.

Big fan of hoppy beers. Wanting to brew 1-2 gallons (yes, I'm American) of many different variations. Particularly interested in small batches so I can isolate those ingredients I find so interesting.

Big fan of Surly Furious and Summit Saga, both proximate to my home in St. Paul, MN.

Hello! I live in Western North Carolina. I found the BIAB method after watching this video on youtube. I knew this lady's method was within my budget, so I began looking for others using similar methods. This led me to homebrew forums which led me here. Took me awhile to figure out what the method was called, but of course BIAB makes perfect sense! I haven't ever brewed a batch of beer, but after reading the forums here I feel pretty confident in doing at least a partial mash brew. The site is great, as long as I don't get too marred up in the metric system (thanks to the US education system for keeping us in the 19th century on that one). Looking forward to brewing soon!

EDIT TO SAY: I've decided to use the method outlined in this post which is very similar to the MaxiBIAB outlined here. (Pop quiz time) It is a BIAB with a partial mash, dunk sparge, and topping off the fermenter to the desired level. A great way to accommodate 20qt (19L) pots and an electric stove. So next challenge: actually brewing the beer!

Hi, my name is Laurie and I am currently living outside of Augusta, GA in the US. Currently, a bunch of fellows who are dressed quite silly have come into town with long sticks and little white balls to play some silly game they call "golf". This "golf" thing has many excited people who chase the funny looking fellows while they try to play this game.

I have been doing stovetop all grain brewing for a few years. I am very interested to step up to making bigger bears and trying BIAB method.

I will now go back into lurk mode...

Welcome Laurie. I have been to your area to admire these stangely dressed fellows. What an exciting time we enjoyed on the lawns. :dream:
It must be a pain in the ass for the natives though. Unless of course you own the local Hooters!!

Hi,

I'm a beginner brewer from Hamilton, NZ with half a dozen extract(kit) brews so far.
Learning more about beers/the brewing process has encouraged me to try all-grain and BIAB seems a great way to start without investing in too much equipment.

Still acquiring some of the gear and ingredients but hope to be brewing in the next few weeks.

Cheers,
Aarad

I'm from North-Central West Virginia. I have brewed on and off for almost 15 years, and have stuck with extract brewing for a couple of reasons: Excellent results, simplicity, cost of all-grain equipment upgrades, and the added time involved with all-grain brewing. I honestly can't say if anyone in my homebrewers' club even understands brew-in-a-bag. It seems that there are all-grain brewers and me. I'm looking forward to doing my first BIAB batch in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for setting up this site.

Hi all,
Greetings. What a great site! I'm from Auckland, NZ and have been brewing for about the last year or so. I've recently moved onto extract with some grain, but have been considering BIAB for a while, and am finally taking the plunge in to all grain brewing! I'm a music teacher, teaching the clarinet and saxophone, and having a quality pint at the end of the day helps to alleviate all the squawks and squeaks of my students. I'm looking forward to learning from the BIAB community here and contributing what I can.
Cheers.
