Hi Everyone,
I'm from Dunedin, NZ and just making the switch from K&K to all grain - I've been brewing for a couple of years and haven't been happy with kit brewing and was looking for more. I'm awaiting delivery of my 40 litre urn, which I've dubbed Ernie, partly after my Great Grandfather but also Ernie the milkman (Google it if you are under 35!).
Found this site via a Google search for "urn BIAB" after coming up with the great idea of using an urn for BIAB. Unfortunately I was a little late with my idea and someone had beaten to it. Australia claim they invented it, but like everything else a kiwi probably did it first

.
In Dunedin we have one home brew shop and a chemist that sells a bit of gear so brew equipment is expensive. Like everything in NZ It's actually cheaper to buy equipment from Australia or the States and get it delivered. I'm on the hunt for a wort chiller and in NZ they range fro $150 plus, but can get one delivered from the US for $100!
Have watched a few You Tube videos of urn BIAB but there's not a lot out there so plan to document my findings with my camera.
