Good Day Rdeselle, Welcome.

Your experience with extract/partial Mash is almost the training for All-Grain BIAB. Add more grain, and forget the extact!

There are many recipes for Brown Ale on the Interent, and the Caluclator see http://www.biabrewer.info/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=189 will help determine the recipe needed for BIAB.

Let us know if you have any questions, and we can help!

gday my first post and I'd like to watch someone do a biab. I've some of the kit but bet I'm missing stuff.
never brewed anything before but I'm over reading and need to get one under my belt.
Anyone in perth south of the river would suit me. :yum:

Hello everyone. I'm JohnB from Aberdeen and am a total novice to BIAB. I have been kit brewing for some time and enjoy fiddling with the recipes (using spraymalts, hop teas and dry hopping) trying create that 'perfect' brew.

I'm now looking to move on. BIAB seems the next step.

Thanks in advance,

John

Hi Everyone

I've had a good read through previous posts and recipes and it looks like a great site, and an essential source for the BIAB brewer.

I'm from Leicester in the East Midlands of England, and for the last year I have been doing extract kit brews. I've had some nice beers and been experimenting with double drops, spray malts and extra hops, but I've found the extract kit beers always have that yeasty homebrew after taste.

My brother in law and his mate have just introduced me to BIAB with a couple of great brews, now I've realised it's the way forward. I have a 40L electric urn, a hessian sack and a copper wort chiller on order, and I plan to do a Timothy Taylor Landlord as my first brew before broadening out into other beers.... maybe Bavarian smoked beers!

Cheers for the great site

Ady

Great to be a part of such a large brew community. Working on my fourth BIAB session this week. Bottled a Citra IPA first, Witbier second and attempting a sour stout as we speak. It's in the secondary with bugs and oak.

Hello,

My name is Dave, and I'm currently living in Laurel, Montana. I'm originally from Washington state, and have been here for almost two months now.

So far, my brewing experience has come from extract kits, and by God, I'm ready for the next step (or at least I think I am! ;))

I first heard of BIAB and this forum on Hombrewtalk, and was intrigued, as I've been designing my single tier all grain rig, then heard of an alternative.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hello all!
Pawleys Island, South Carolina here.
Been brewing for years with a three kettle system.

Looking to help a friend get into brewing...he would like to do 3-5 gallon batches.
I have never tried the biab method but I've always thought it was a great method for small batches.
I'm looking forward to learning here and helping my friend get started.

Good Day PawleysPlayr, Welcome to the Site.

BIAB is a great way to start, and do 1 to 10 gallon batches.

It is a true single kettle, No-Sparge method to brew All-Grain beer.

Check the section "The Master Guide of BIAB Brewing" http://www.biabrewer.info/viewforum.php?f=25 and look at the "The Commentary" http://www.biabrewer.info/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=190

Hey brewers and growers,

I'm a new addition to the brewing world and currently establishing a small hop yard in N.E Vic.

In awe of this site and the legendary brewers who are sharing their smarts in aid of better beer. Looking forward to getting involved and learning/contributing along the way.

Keep up the good work!

It is good to have another Brewer on Board!

Have you chosen the type of Hops to grow?

Some of us grow hops and would like to hear how you do.

G'day, Chris here, been Biabing for about 18 months, beer is no different really to 3v, but much simpler with Biab. (IMHO).
I've built a kickass temp controller which simultaneously runs mash, fridge, ferment and hop / malt drying.
Anyway, looking forward to browsing the forum some more.

Cheers to All,
Chris
