The job done by Brad Smith was on the whole good for a 3V brewer. He had pictures and didn't say anything bad or wrong about it. Shibolet heckled him some and teased him a bit! Fun to watch. The crowd was not really full for my class and it seamed (from the question and answer portion) That most of the people were already BIAB. It was the first class of four simultaneous classes so people might have been at others saving BIAB for another day!smyrnaquince wrote:Wow! This was an enjoyable read. Thanks!
I am curious about the audience reaction to the BIAB talk. Skeptics? Converts?
Anything interesting in the fresh hops talk? A buddy here plans to plant some and I told him I'd help.
I'm glad you all made it home safe and sound.
I can't remember much about the fresh hops seminar because I had been drinking in every class and he was serving beer too! Growing hops is fun because they grow so well at our latitude and they grow quickly.
Every seminar was recorded to be processed and put on the web. You would have to join the AHA to listen to them. The $35 US $44 international includes 10 Issues of Zymurgy magazine and the right to go to the NHC in 2013!
On the bus tour I was a minor celebrity because of the brewing on the ice video (polar brew 2011) and spent 20 minuets explaining how BIAB works. The "said" that they would go to the next BIAB seminar Saturday? I don't know if they did or not by Saturday in was in detox!
