Here is another question. BrickBrewHouse was kind enough to provide me with a copy of the calculator that has Gallons, Ounces and such. Ive had a chance to play around and get a feel for how it works, very cool! I'm math/computer and spreadsheet challenged, but I think Ive got it. If I wanted to brew up a batch of Amarillo APA for instance. Id start with.....
1. How much beer I want to end up with after fermentation.
2. Pot dimentions.
3. The recipe including: Starting Gravity, Grain bill with amounts, hops with amounts and times.
If I understand correctly, I can plug ingredients and amounts from this APA recipe into this calculator, and the calculator will adjust volumes of water, grain, and hops for my setup, and final amounts.
Am I doing it correctly?
