Hi All, I live in the West of England and have been on off brewing for a few years. Kits and extract. Finding extract far better in terms of quality, so next step = BIAB! Intending to DIY a boiler for 23L brews, so plenty of questions coming your way... Cheers!

Hi team.
I'm a beer lover from Sydney, I've got a couple of brews under my belt with a friend using all his equipment and materials, but ready to start formulating my own recipes and trying out ideas.
I really want to make a brett barley wine....

Also looking to set up a brew system at the restaurant I work at, so we can have nice staffies after work, rather than tsingtao!

Cheers
Sally

Welcome aboard Sally :peace:,

Lots of great brewers in my old hometown. You'll have to come to Hart's pub when we have another meet up there :drink:.

A Brett barley wine is an adventurous brew, Good on you! We can certainly help you out on the recipe side of things. Just start a thread when you are ready.

:salute:

Greetings

I am from Michigan, USA
I came across this site from homebrewtalk.com
I have a few extract brews under my belt, but wanted to go full grain. BIAB seemed like a quicker transition since I don't have all the equipment yet.
I work full time, and have children, but they are getting to the age now that I have more free time. I haven't brewed for a while, and I have the itch once again.

Welcome Leif-HB,

They have creams for that recurring itch you have :o . Maybe a Cream Ale will be just what the Doctor ordered. You found the best site to help make the transition from extract to All Grain. Unfortunately, your itch may get worse...

Greetings! I'm from Florida and I've been brewing for almost a year. Started off doing stove top extract batches and have been slowly working my way to all grain. The past few months I've either been doing 3 gallon biab batches or 5 gallon partial mash biab until I could get all the necessary equipment. I just got a 15 gallon kettle, a burner, and new bag so I'm pumped to do my first batch on the new equipment sometime this week. I'm excited to have found this forum and look forward to learning and contributing however I can!

Hello Sheldonsteen and morganm00. My wife and I are based out of Jacksonville, FL and we just got our Maine license so we hope to be working there in the future. Full volume brewing is a great way to make great beer. I am drinking the NRB Amarillo Ale (only one bottle left :o ) that is mentioned on this site and it is fantastic. The people on here are great and really responsive to answering your questions. I wish you both good brewing and welcome to the site.

I'm in a small town called Jasper. It's just straight up 75 right before you get into Georgia, and about 1.5 hours east of monkeyman in Jax. I grew up in South Tampa and have a few good friends in Clearwater we love to visit.

1. Where are you from?
I'm originally from New Jersey but find myself living in London UK

2. How did you stumble across the site?
Looking to get back into brewing and want to get into all grain

3. What you think of it so far?
I'm amazed at the community and the info available.

4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
I used to brew from extracts years ago when I lived in Portland OR. I started helping friends with their full grain brews but never managed to go down that route myself.

5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household?
I do work but wish I was retired!

Looking forward to getting my rig up and running.

Hi, I'm an Aussie recently moved to Auckland.

I have brewed a number of ciders and just had my first attempt at an all grain BIAB after much research and reading on this site. Thanks all for the really helpful info.

I encountered a couple of issues on my first attempt and was hoping someone could give me a few pointers.

Cheers.

WILLIAM913, Barbarossa,

It's never too late to learn. You will both see that it's as easy or hard as you want it to be. There are plenty of people to help if you have questions, but if you're a "go get er" there is more than enough info on here to get you on the right path. Welcome aboard!!!

Hi i'm from Northern Ireland currently a student in Glasgow and have just started brewing. I currently have a hefeweizen in primary (fermented around 21 Celsius to hopefully bring out more of the banana flavors) and looking to brew an oatmeal stout (perhaps with fennel as I have lots of it growing) and also an American pale ale I have made recipes for!

Welcome destabalise,

I spent a 11 weeks in Scotland when I was a kid. Absolutely beautiful scenery. I keep meaning to brew a Wee Heavy, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I am from Nebraska, USA and have been homebrewing for about 2 1/2 years, but only a few batches per year due to time constraints of my job and family life (another kid is on the way) and the fact I don't drink up my projects as quickly as other brewers.
I want to transition from my extract/steeping grain recipes to all-grain where I have more comfort, control, and creativity, I have with bread baking and jerky making.
I have become enamored with the simplicity of BIAB thanks to "evangelists" here in the States (Brulosophy.com, Bagbrewer.com, Jake Keeler)and and was directed to this site/forum as the best place for information on techniques, conversions, and facts rather than hearsay, generalizations, and estimates.
I'm not very good at navigating forums, but you bunch seem rather welcoming and knowledgeable. I'm also looking forward to receiving my site keys to see the tools and charts your community has built.

hi all, i'm from Mt Eliza in Victoria australia, been brewing for 2 years, moving from grain steeping/ extract to all grain and going to BIAB is my approach to all all grain brewing. I can pretty much say I like all all beers, from light pilsners through to dark heavy stouts, so i'm really looking forward to the different flexibility all grain will give and of course like all brewers i'm looking for a continual improvement,

cheers BrewTrav

Hi everyone!
This site is exactly what I was looking for!
I am completely new to the world of brewing and I decided to go all grain but for space and cost reasons I decided to go with the BIAB.
I'm sure I'll find here what I need!

P.S.
I don't know if it's just me but I downloaded the Commentary and it stops at page 8 (truncated)..why is that?
