Happy birthday jacek. Hope you are having a great day :salute:,

On the bag porosity, try and find material that is 30-40 threads per cm. You'll need a magnifying glass to count it though!

Re 'The Converter', that would be something that admin (NME) might need help with. (I only help out with some spreadsheet stuff here.) I've sent him a note re your kind offer.

Welcome to the forum and all the best for today ;),

Hi biabaggers I live in Yorkshire England. Have been brewing for a couple of years now started with a few muntons kits but quickly outgrew them and moved on to biab with a home made elrctric keggle. I have spent a lot of time latley planning on improving my set up with pumps, rims, temp controlers and the like. Thankfully before i did this i remembered why I liked the Biab idea in the first place and have now forgotten all the stuff i wasted so much time planning and will spend the money on ingredients instead. Though this CUBE thing is now grabbing my attention. Cheers

Thank you PistolPatch, but it's not my birthday (it's quartermains') :)

I've got a response from OnlineFabricStore.net:
"This Hanes 118” White Voile Fabric is 100% polyester and made from a high twist yarn. The weight per yard is .31 ounces."

I keep investigating;)

Hello all... I am in Kentucky where I am a technician for the Air National Guard. I have been brewing for a little over a year. Got into this via wine making. I do all grain using the old cooler mash tun/batch sparge method. This works OK but I really want control and the possibility of making some REALLY good beers. I dreamed of making a brutus style system until I learned about BIAB. The best of both worlds I say. Working on plans for a cool stand with hoist, pump, and temp control. Easy brewing with easy clean up at 1/3 or less than the cost of brutus.... BIAB=Brutus in a Bag??? Could be.... Cheers.

Hi All

I am from Eltham, Victoria. I got directed to this site after searching for info on BIAB. I think it was a link from the the AHB forums that got me here.
So far I have found the site pretty informative and was a great help with my first BIAB.

i have been brewing for about two years. Mostly Extract with specialty grain brewing but have decided to try my hand at BIAB.

Looking forward to doing a few more BIAB.

Hey Thughes. I'm in Taylorsville just south/east of Louisville. Thanks for the link. I am reading up on everything I can on BIAB. The bells and whistles is just because I can't help but tinker and build with attempts at making something way cool. The Fonz knows all about cool  In the end I'm going to do what's best for the beer. Now off to read your link. Thanks big time.

Hi All,

I have been BIAB for a few months now. I am a Yorkshire man living in Tasmania.

I was introduced to this site by a member on here who is a fellow member on a UK Shaving forum, we had both posted on a "homebrew" thread on that site. I have not had time to get into the nuts & guts of this forum yet, I am however impressed with what i have seen so far & I am looking forward to learning from other members, swapping recipes....

I work in the oilfield & i am often in remote locations without internet access - there is good & bad in that.

Cheers Fozz

Hi Everyone,

I'm from Dunedin, NZ and just making the switch from K&K to all grain - I've been brewing for a couple of years and haven't been happy with kit brewing and was looking for more. I'm awaiting delivery of my 40 litre urn, which I've dubbed Ernie, partly after my Great Grandfather but also Ernie the milkman (Google it if you are under 35!).

Found this site via a Google search for "urn BIAB" after coming up with the great idea of using an urn for BIAB. Unfortunately I was a little late with my idea and someone had beaten to it. Australia claim they invented it, but like everything else a kiwi probably did it first :).

In Dunedin we have one home brew shop and a chemist that sells a bit of gear so brew equipment is expensive. Like everything in NZ It's actually cheaper to buy equipment from Australia or the States and get it delivered. I'm on the hunt for a wort chiller and in NZ they range fro $150 plus, but can get one delivered from the US for $100!

Have watched a few You Tube videos of urn BIAB but there's not a lot out there so plan to document my findings with my camera.
