It finally dawned on where I have heard the term "Bia" (as in BIA-Brewer) in reference to beer. In Vietnam there are these little places called Bia Hoi (translation - fresh beer) bars that sell cheap, home brewed beer as an alternative to the commercial lagers.
Ok, so I know its actually BIAB-rewer, but an interesting coincidence.
