Fellow brewers! I cut and pasted this from my Farce Book page!

Robert Stempski

It snowed all day yesterday. -20 Fahrenheit this morning. The new $1,700 snow-blower grabbed a rock and bent the blades rendering it useless! 22 people coming over in a hour. I have to hand shovel the driveway. I thought I would have a quick beer to sooth my nerves and I just blew out a keg in the rear of the beer fridge. Yep, it's a Merry Christmas.

But I do have more beer and family to drink it. All is good!

To All! The beer is holding out. we had Santa over for the little ones. We had the Packers and Cowboys (second half) on the big screen. The only fly in the ointment was that Santa had a problem with landing in the driveway because " You never finished snow-blowing the driveway Bob?" "Coal for you this year" "Ho ho ho!"

The power steering and the heated handles were a little extra expense but it was going to be my last snow-blower so I cleaned out the kids inheritance fund. (hey, there wasn't going to be any left anyway?) Now it all sits in the garage waiting for a $500 repair job.

I sure am glad that I bought Mary a new ergonomic snow shovel for her bad back. Now she will be more comfortable while shoveling. As I watch her through the window she seems to be struggling less with the new shovel. Time for a beer!

A miraculous Christmas event. ( I had to say it that way because I can't spell mirakull, meeracule, mieracule, no help from spell check)?? Anyway, I was moaning about the snow blower (that I bought at Loews) being damaged. A employee of Loews learned about it on Facebook. He came over (On Christmas morning) and helped me get it repaired!

Talk about standing by your product line!! What a wonderful service that Loews employee did, to fix and repair the snow-blower on Christmas morning! I will continue to support Loews from now on!!

In full disclosure. It was only after the incident that I found out he was "Sleeping with my daughter" and in fact, was the father (of some) of my grandchildren! Who knew? Anyway, apparently Paula said "go outside and help my father fix the snow blower so we can get away from these old fussbudgets"

We did get it running so I spent the next hour digging out the driveway and parking lot. It was only then that I realized that I was still wearing my slippers. I didn't expect to fix the snow blower I was just looking at it when Todd came out and we started fooling with it. The rest is now part of Christmas history.

It's a meeracull!!

Hahaha. Excellent Bob! Ergonomic snow shovel for Mary - good on you mate . Richard better buy one for his southern belle. That's a winning move for sure!

What's the go with the strong beers this year Yeasty and trout? I actually had a bock on Xmas Eve. Not sure why they spell it with a "B". I reckon an "F" would be far more appropriate .

Anyway, it's 10 am Boxing Day here now and it's been 36 hours of all go and all good fun  :drink:. Probably had every beverage known to man and made it through mainly sober. I think. The fact that I was able to feed a sourdough starter late last night when I got home points to sobriety. The fact that I put it back in the fridge when I meant to leave it out points a little bit in the opposite direction .

Must be time for a morning nap. Hope you guys had or are still having a great one.

All the best to you,
PP
