We had one in Adelaide on Friday night, at 3.5 on the scale, so might be a bit of a shake coming from all of the intercontinental plate activity we have been seeing of late.

Hope everyone is OK, especially those underground.

Heaps of damage to 100+ year old buildings in Burt St, Boulder. Even the pubs !! bugger!

Now a housefire in town as well, this is the biggest news day in Kal for 20 years i reckon !

No injuries underground at this point thankgod, most operations have resumed, word is most underground miners didnt even know there was a quake.

Good to hear re the miners, not so good the owners of properties lost :(

You shouldn't worry to much re the pubs, you've got HB!

Now that is the experience of a lifetime!

I've heard that when one experiences a quake it is a super strange feeling. How weird was it RL?

Not the best place to have a quake. If I was a miner I wouldn't be looking forward to work tomorrow.

We had one down here at the end of last year, I think it registered low to mid 4's, the epi-centre was about 10-20kms away. It shook the shit out of my house, I thought a train was coming down our road :D and all I thought after that was "shit no warning at all", I couldn't imagine how a big one would be.
I think they say for every 0.1 on the scale the earthquake has actualy doubled in power. :o
Good to hear everyone is safe

It sure is a weird feeling, i think after it was over, i realized how scary it was. Like you siad wiz, no warning.
I cant get over the noise, it was the loudest thing i have ever heard, i can only liken it to a jumbo jet crashing into the shed at work. Amazing no one was hurt, heaps of buildings of historical burt st, boulder, have half fallen down or has srious damage.
Something im not going to forget in a long time, especially the car park and the walls in the office moving in front of my eyes!
