I will apologize in advance for crushing you and breaking your spirit. However, in order that people not give up early or not play at all. I may "deliberately" mind you. Not win each and every week. I will string you along like all the others and let you think you have a chance!

Bob, I thought the game was meant to have been done and dusted by now. I thought they were meant to play on Thursday. It seems I read too quickly :smoke:.

Anyway, knowing how unreliable you are, I thought I'd check on the web before checking your prior posts here. On the first link all I found was this article. Scary pic I must say. Looks like some ad for male incontinence products. And then, the article started with...
Looking for something fun to do this Friday night during the game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks? Here's an idea. Create a drinking game for you and your friends where every time the announcers, analysts or sideline reporters say the words, ‘Fail Mary' you have to take a drink. You'll be hammered quicker than the time it takes Mike Silver to say, ‘WTF was that?' on live television. Of course, if waking up hungover and naked on top of a bar with a tattoo of Marshawn Lynch on your inner thigh isn't your cup of tea, there is plenty to keep an eye on during this week's penultimate preseason game...
Are you absolutely sure it is safe for us to participate in Cheese Bob?

:interesting:
PP

P.S. I'm guessing last place prize is a pair of the yellow shorts with sewn in incontinence pads like you see in the pic. Loser!!!

PistolPatch,

First, I did originally say the game was on Thursday! I edited it. So you were correct! Every once in a while you get it right!!! I hadn't read that article yet! I might just have a "fail Mary" party myself?

Last year the referees were on strike and we had replacement refs. The play was with zero time on the clock and the other team (who was losing) threw the ball into the end zone (scoring area) hoping one of their players would catch it and win the game. A Packer jumped high and clearly caught the ball. The games should have been over and we would have won. BUT.... the asshole replacement referee said that it was also caught by the other team and they scored and won the game.

The substitute referee was fired from amateur ball because of incompetence. The strike was settled the next day because the nation was pissed. The "Hail Mary" is a name given to a play when it is a last ditch attempt. You throw the ball and pray  Hail Mary full of grace.....Yada yada yada... FAIL Mary is our humors attempt at levity

The second last preseason game usually has both first string teams playing into the third quarter of the game. It is traditionally the dress rehearsal for the regular season. The Green Bay Packers changed tradition and had the first string quarterback pulled out of the game to let the backup play with the better players. They did NOTHING but use up time on the clock. The kids got a chance to play but the coach sacrificed the game to play the rookies! I hope it was a good strategy?

You didn't miss a thing! A lot of sloppy plays by a bunch of guys who will be unemployed in three days! :nup: It was a good game only for the coaches to evaluate the players. For the people watching it was a messy, sloppy, mistake filled game!

The Cheese player who had ten points was another grand child! :champ: I can't pick the points but I can produce the player who wins each week. My grand daughter won last week!

Competitors,

Thursday August 29th is the final preseason game! The unpredictability of the preseason is hard to predict? However that is why we are here! To predict future events and results. The last hurtle is about to be jumped! After Thursday night we will start accumulating points and play fierce and furious.

Of course it's all for naught as I will eventfully win. :champ: I appreciate you, (the rungs) of my ladder to success. I will try to be humble as you all bumble about the games. The way I win is this. I will (deliberately) miss a few questions and flounder about to give you brewers hope. I will (at the end of the season) crush you all like grapes in a vat!

Get your picks in now. Don't wait and forget! Do it now! :headhit:

The first game of the season is September 8th. There is a game calender link on the home page of cheese. Print it out and keep it near the computer.

BLONDE JOKE

Of all the blonde jokes, this one has to be one of the best -- because it makes football make sense!
A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked it.
"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but
I just couldn’t understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."
Dumbfounded, her boyfriend asked, "What do you mean?"
"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was...
'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!'
I'm like...Helloooooo?
It's only 25 cents!!!!"

The game was purely painful to watch. The regular players sat on the side lines talking about something not related to football while the rookies "playing for a job and their life's goal" spent 3 hours running around in 100F. temperatures with tropical humidity. In two days the 75 will be narrowed down to 53.

Now on September 8th we can start playing for real points and with regular players. The preseason is finally over. Now the fun begins!

mally.

Thanks for remembering that I am holding back so not to embarrass everyone. I expect to show more compassion towards you clowns in the regular season. The preseason is great for the team managers to weed out the marginal players and for the "Cheese" manager (Me) to weed out the bad pickers. However since I am the worst picker of the lot I may have to change the rules and let anyone play!

P.S. I think Joco is a fake "Cheezer" and is really a professional sports expert??? :o

All, :peace:

I wrote this for local consumption but it will suffice for a bunch of (Radical brewers) :argh:

The regular season for Cheesestradamus is about to begin. The preseason served its purpose by testing the revamped inner working of “Cheese”. The preseason was (as always) pure luck and very little skill. The First game of the season is about to unfold and the mighty Green Bay Packers have a tough opponent to start the season. The 49er’s beat the Pack twice last year and want to maintain the dominance. We had the whole off season to prepare for the San Francisco 49er's. By sheer coincidence the 49ers have had the whole off season to prepare for the Packers response! What are the odds of that happening?

OK, OK, enough silliness. The regular players that you know and trust are about to fulfill your picks and make “Cheese” relevant again. No more (odd) players scoring the first touchdown. No more fringe players making the first interceptions. The knowledge that you have stockpiled is about to shine with your prognostication of the Packers game. Nostradamus would be proud of you. So get your family together and join Cheesestradamus!

The fun part about “Cheese” is that you can have your kids and non football fans play and enjoy the games with you. Your expertise with fantasy football and reading endless stories about the Packers should put you at the top each week? Prizes are mailed out after the Super-bowl.

So let your green and gold hair down and answer a few basic questions and give it a go! The averages of all other players are next to the blanks for you to fill in. We will play the Bears-Lions game while the Packers have their BYE week. (no game, just resting ) get your picks in now.

San Francisco open as a 4.5-point favorites.

I know I have been a pest and I am sorry for it, but.... I want to crush you "fair and square" no excuses like "I was saving a child from a burning building?" Or "I just discovered a cure for cancer" Rubbish I say! Who cares about junk like that?? we are talking Cheesestradamus here! Important stuff! :smoke:

Besides Mad_Scientist put all zeros in to throw off the others with the average picks! Or he screwed up?? :idiot: anyway, there are only a few spots left??? so get them while they are in stock?

The Packers started the Season with a narrow loss. They were expected to lose but the jury was out until the last throw. The 49ers seemed to dominate the game but the Packers stifled the running game for most of the day. The secondary was horrid. They gave up yards like candy being thrown from a float on the 4th of July. Lacy made his presence know by fumbling and being benched. He scored his first touchdown near the end of the game. Shabby tackling made everything worse. The game was entertaining until the ending play.
