PP,

Taz is a nice dog. His owner is a member of the brew club and she brewed at my place a couple of times (Under my wife's close observation). I can't figure out how the dog can read the teams stat sheets?? I read it and I get ZERO, ZED, NADA, NIL points!!!! The dog must be brilliant? :P

On a side note. For the second week in a row my mother asked me to "Fill in those other numbers" Because she only picks the scores. For the second week in a row I picked opposite of my "Learned" choices and for the second week in a row "She tied for first place"!! :idiot: So from now on I will pick the best I can and then reverse my picks just before the game!

Maybe Taz has glasses or something?

What happened to following in the dog's footsteps (well, whatever you call them) this week Bob, let alone reversing your best picks?

Stick with the plan!!!

(My plan is to actually understand what a rushing and passing yard is before the end of the season :dunno:).

PP, i wouldn't bother with the terminology, it's much harder than aussie rules you know;
Rule 1 - occasionally chase the ball
Rule 2 - try and kill all your opponents
Rule 3 - see rule 2. etc.

PistolPatch,

Well here is the scoop! I just tried to calculate the past offensive averages both of rushing and passing. Then the defensive statistics. Compare them and come out with the correct NUMBERS! We all know how I do numbers! Having won the preseason contest last year I thought I would do well this year? So far I stink!

The BBC was in Green Bay this week doing a story about our "one of a kind" football team! It will be broad cast on BBC5 or something like that December 23rd 2012.

http://nflukpodcast1.libsyn.com/inside- ... FeedBurner

listen to the first 5 minutes of the above podcast. They talk about being in Green Bay and the Packers!

Good luck to everyone this Sunday! Prizes are awaiting winners! Make sure your address's are complete in your profile! Packers play at 12 noon for the rest of the regular season. We are in first place in our division and play the second place team this week. If we win we are guaranteed to make the playoffs!

[STOP PRESS! Bob has just posted!!!! Back to you later mally ;)]

Ah mally, don't you wish all games were that easy and sensible?

(Just joking mate - I still don't understand Aussie Rules :P)

Really glad that this is a PM and I didn't post that last para publicly or anything.

Has Taz been interviewed? What did he say?

....

It only takes one good week to jump to the lead. Personally I hope everyone here forgets to post their picks this week like I nearly did last week (due to a brewer's get-together.) Bad luck for you guys my brain recovered in time.

HaHa PP
Though seriously i think there are only those 3 rules you need to know, oh wait...
I forgot the last rule which is; occasionally you may get points for getting the ball between the 2 sticks, and you will also get some points for not getting them through the sticks

Bob - I only listened to the intro to that podcast, but they paint a great picture of Wisconsin & the inhabitants.
BTW, you aren't the guy that's been selling the beer at lambeau field since 1963 are you?

Mally,
I am not the guy selling beer! I would be the one drinking it! :drink:

I found a link to last years contest run by a website devoted to the Packers. The ACME Packing Company paid for the team uniforms in 1919 so they became the Packers. When I was in the contest last year I was known as "Robert St" because when I filled out the profile info I didn't understand that I was suppose to enter some cute Handel and I just was going to type robert stempski. The program only took "robert st" and I couldn't change it! So I was robert st! :idiot:

The following link is to show I did have smarts (luck?) at one time? I think excessive beer the last few years took care of the remaining brain matter!

Here is a interesting link to the old question sheet we used! Note the bonus question we used. This was fun but very hard to administrate so I dropped it when I took over the contest and created a website.

Just checked out the Cheesetradamus PreSeason Standings link above Bob. One thing I can see straight away is that, "A-Rod in your pants," definitely didn't make the same mistake as you.

PP,

I messed up! I could have had some neat handle. It could have been Football related or sophomoric sex joke related handle. But no, I was just robert st! Boring! So that's why I now use the excellent and thought provoking handle of BobBrews! Not only is it sexy (so I am told) but also manly! The testosterone covered handle of BobBrews is enough to allow me membership into any biker bar or fight club without monthly dues!

Next year we will do a better job of starting up "Cheese" and get more brewers involved. When the guys rave about the prizes awarded this year they will be sorry they didn't participate!

Personally Bob, I think the whole BIABrewer registration process should be changed. Firstly, to register, I think all names should have to be as thought-provoking and sexy as yours. BobBrews would be the benchmark but members should aim to get close to it. Then, instead of having to do a 'first post' to become fully registered on BIABrewer.info, the member should have to do a 'first pick' instead. This would save joshua hours!!!

Is it true that first prize is a fully personalised 4 week plan for the infamous BobBrew's Beer Diet? Man, I hope I win .

If I could I would! But thinking it over. If I would give away my beer for a prize than all credibility of me brewing good beer would be gone. I prefer that people think that I am a good brewer than to taste my beer and prove differently!
It's better to say nothing and let people think you are stupid than open your mouth and prove it!

No Bob! There are no rumours going around that the prize would actually involve you giving away your own beer! It was just rumoured that you would freely give away your advice. e.g. What beers, the quantities and the times they should be consumed to maximise weight loss.

You really should have just PM'ed that last post to a few trusted people like me. Next thing you know, some idiot will post...

First Prize: A month's free beer from BobBrew's Brewery!

Yeasty's picks aren't in yet and only 1.5 hours to go :o. Sent him a message but am secretly hope he doesn't get it in time :). Maybe he's hungover? I read somewhere here that he had a few "dinks" last night - lol.

Did you notice how tactful and polite PP was in his last post. I get the feeling he went easy on us so as not to jinks his good run.

I recon he can see the winning post and is getting twitchy  he didn't even mention the L word..
Why is everyone talking about "Cheese"

Post #121 made 13 years ago
The last game of the season (in two weeks) I will be hiding all picks until the game starts! You still will see the average of all the other players but who knows if someone will pick weird stats to throw the average off until just before the game? I will give a hint to help but people will have to think for the last game. The leading player would just have to match the second place player to seal the championship otherwise! Good luck next week!

I am itching to send out the prizes. So be sure to have the correct address in your profile!

I can't believe Bob is going to hide everyone's picks in the last week. Crafty bugger! I don't care... I am just going to use more astrologers. It might cost me a lot of money but I'm sure I read above somewhere...
First Prize: A month's free beer from BobBrew's Brewery!
I think I read somewhere else but I could possibly be making this up...
Delivered to the country of your choosing.
Thanks Bob

All.

Two weeks left in the regular season! Scores are close and anyone can win! We will play in the post season for a few laughs.

I met Taz the dog at last weeks brew club meeting! I was shocked to find out that Taz the dog is not actually making the picks? It is a 14 year old girl! (her mom is a brew club member) I have decided to let them compete even though fraud is being committed!! Not only am I being beaten by my Mum but by a young girl working in conjunction with a dog! :nup:

This week I will make some picks that will simply amaze you! Prepare to be left in the dust or in 12 inches of snow as the case may be? :?:
