Frozen American Amber

Post #1 made 10 years ago
Just been to check my BCS American Amber bloody frozen solid ...
Then I remembered I fitted new security lights at the weekend and turned the electricity off to the garage.
Must have somehow wiped the settings on my stc 1000 temp controller and switched the freezer on.
Hoping to defrost get up to pitching temps and repitch fingers crossed.

TT, if your Fermenter did not Break, let the beer warm to the Correct Temperature.

It will be back to the Condition you planned.

The freeze put the yeast to sleep, and prevented the beer from oxidizing.

Tingtong, I believe it was in Palmer's " How To Brew " 1st edition that the same thing happened to him. It's free on the web . I'll try to find it and report back.
