Ferment Fail!!!

Post #1 made 12 years ago
The other day I had a BRILLIANT idea to use my fermentation controller to keep the mash steady. The idea was that I would heat the mash to the correct temp and then have the contoller turn on a small electric cooker under the pot. I set the temp at 66 deg C and tried it out on some water. It didn't work very well. :headhit: Sooooooooo..... I returned the controller back to my fridge and the English bitter I was fermenting at 66 deg F. Unfortunately I was in a hurry to go out of town and returned three days later to my beer sitting at you guessed it 66deg C!!!!!!! I know y'all think we drink beer flat and warm but this was pushing the limits :argh: as my mum says sometimes I'm a bit of a knobhead
