Need help from someone in the UK

Post #1 made 13 years ago
Good day,

I'm attempting to build a beer engine using a RV handpump (BYO has an article out there). I want mine to look more authentic so I want to get a swan neck as I would also like the option to use a sparkler tip, or take it off and dispense without. The only vendor I could find in the US that sells beer engines and parts told me that he won't sell me one for this purpose and he only sells to owners of genuine beer engines  .

I'm trying to figure out a way to get one from the UK - Angram seems to sell them on their website in the UK (for US they direct you to UKbrewing.com - the aforementioned vendor). Would anyone in the UK be able to source me a swan neck with sparkler tip threading and ship it to me in the US (I would be able to paypal you, we could even do the transaction through ebay if that worked better)? Or - if there's something that's hard to get in the UK (legal of course) that I could get in the US we could do an exchange of sorts. I'm looking for one like this http://www.angramltd.com/products/nozzl ... ed-cq.html.

If it would simply cost too much it may not be worth it, but I figure it's worth a shot. I have emails out to a couple of vendors in the UK, but not having much luck. Anyone have an idea of what it would cost to ship something like this to the US?

Thanks for any info.

Hi Nat

I'll look into it for you. The online shop has it at £15.80 plus delivery may be tax on that as well. I'll ring them next week and ask.

Hey Yeasty - I just got a reply from Northern Brewer - they can get me one for about $50 (from Harry Masons), which is probably about the same or less after shipping and conversion to pounds so I think I'll just go with NB - that way I don't have to inconvenience anyone. Thanks for the offer - greatly appreciated!
