No pics (yet) but I have a couple of simple side- by- side ESBs. a) 100% Baird's Perle + caramelised wort (quite well- caramelsied), another b) same base malt with caramelised dried malt extract (even more- caramelised). Both with usual Landlord hops and Wy 1882PC Thames Valley Ale II. Much of a muchness between the two batches to be honest, today I'll like a), tomorrow is b)'s turn.
1882 is peculiar for taste, not as attenuative as the 1469 that I would normally use, so nowhere near as dry but clean and crisp while I like the malt flavour, present but not over- bearing and esters are good, what I'd expect. At bottling, I thought stonefruit would predominate but it hasn't now it is carbonated, still a slight fragrance in the background, like a whiff of next door neighbour's aromatic rice on the stove, a brief head- turner. Quite pleased!

Oh man, I am in brewing heaven. I have been brewing like mad for competitions and family events, so recently, the list has been;

English Mild 3.5%
Ordinary Bitter 3.4%
ESB 5.5%
All POR IPA 7.5%
West Coast Blaster (Jamil's Book) 6.5%
Oatmeal Stout 5.0%

currently brewing Jamil's Black Forest Stout 6.5%

Just had a few milds today while gardening, life is good!
