Notes/Instructions/Comments:
Recipe Generated with BrewMate. I intentionally overshot the OG, but tried to keep everything else within BJCP style parameters as a basis for comparison.

I see a lot of IRAs with generic 2-row and pale base malts, but I wanted to stick with as many UK ingredients as possible for an "authentic" touch, so basing the grain bill on Maris Otter was a no-brainer. The Caramel 60 is for a solid caramel flavor and reddish hue and the Victory for the "orange hues and a toasted nut flavor".

And, of course, fuggles; primarily because I like the name, but also because we're growing some.

Please note that I have not yet made this! I've been tossing around ideas in my head (and in BrewMate), so I'm certainly open to suggestions on the recipe. I like to keep things nice and simple, which is why there isn't a ton of different ingredients.

hi brewmcq

As you have inceased the OG you need to increase the IBU's to about 30 otherwise the beer goes out of balance. Irish red ales are just on the malty side of balance and without the increase in IBU's would be way under hopped.
