Pale Ale Recipe -

Post #1 made 8 years ago
Thought I would share this recipe - bottled today and it tasted very good.
I was going for a solid malt / biscuit and bread smell and taste so went low on the hops and added in 8% Victory Malt.
The fermentation chamber smelled like I was baking bread all week.
The US-05 dry yeast kicked up a storm - one of the few times I did not use a blow-off tub  :nup:

Thanks for posting the recipe. I've downloaded and added it to my BIAB library for future contemplation. Once I get through a few more iterations of my SNPA struggles I think I'll give it a go.

results in - cracked open a bottle today - nice smooth taste, biscuit/bread aroma remaining as planned, light on the hops side with a mild spice edge.  An smooth drinking beer.

Upon further contemplation (sampling) today - I think an increase in hops would improve the beer overall. Not a lot - the idea was to focus on the biscuit flavor, but a bit more on the bittering would improve.  I might even suggest throwing a little more wheat malt in for more head retention and body.
