I have been playing around with the idea of doing a low O.G 19l recipe using my 19l brewpot. This involves dilution pre-boil, during boil and in the fermenter. So it's my first time using Section W of the Biabacus. I don't want to mess around with much sparging or adding appropriate temp water during the mash. Could somebody have a quick look at my Biabacus sheet and make sure I'm not being an idiot?
The key water figures:
Kettle Capacity - 20.5 l
Mash Volume - 18.42 l
VIB - 15.51 l
Pre-Boil Dilution - 2 l
During boil dilution - 4 l
Water added to fermenter - 4 l
When should I add during the boil? Near the end I presume? And I presume it should be as hot as possible?
Thanks for the input lads.
