Some online Jamil Zainasheff recipes

Post #1 made 12 years ago
I've recently found this site on the interwebby thing. It's a number of recipes by Jamil Zainasheff (listed with his permission) and most of them include a discussion that can be downloaded. The information in the recipes are comprehensive and easily converted using BIABacus.

Hi rdeselle,
Saw your brew writeup but never "clicked" that it's from the same site. I've got Jamil's BCS book and use it a lot. What is really nice about the site is the discussions - I found the ordinary bitter discussion rather interesting.

Cheers,
Bertie

Good stuff Bertie :peace:.

The BCS recipes and therefore I am assuming the recipes from the site you have linked can be converted to your own equipment by typing in 22.7 L* into the first line of Section D in BIABacus Pre-Release 1.2 (as pictured below).

Nice link ;),

P.S. There is a little ambiguity as to whether the 22.7 L in the book means End of Boil Volume (EOBV) or End of Boil Volume at Ambient (EOBV-A). It only makes a 4% difference but one of the BIABAcus 'things to do' is to write to John and Jamil to get clarification on this.

P.P.S. There is a new recipe forum being written here and John and Jamil's recipes are the only external recipe source that is currently being recommended there so the above link is one brewers should bookmark if they already don't own the book.

If you have found the above or anything else of value on BIABrewer.info, consider supporting us by getting some BIPs!
