I just got a keg to transform into my brew kettle!! I didn't think about a picture before I started, but here is a before and after...all hand sanded.

Parts are on order to get it set up, I'm itching to do my first BIAB in it.

I used 400 grit wet/dry sand paper. It took 3-4 hours of hand sanding to get it where it is now. I could easily step up to 600, 800, 1000 grit to really make it shine, but I don't want to spend that many more hours doing so.

I did just finish this part of the project, too!!

Nice work phyte ;),

There is going to be one problem though :dunno:. It will discolour or blacken probably after your first brew. The only thing I can think that might help here is coating it with Enduroshield Stainless Steel. This handles up to 550 C and should enable you to clean it with just a microfibre cloth after each brew. THe stuff is not cheap though.
