I can't take any credit for this setup but I wanted to share with everyone. I built this little unit in one evening and it works great. I do not need the heating yet and may not need it in winter (can't think about heating here now since we have been in the hundreds in the last week).
Anyway here is the link to the project. http://www.mrbeerfans.com/ubbthreads/ub ... Post213369

Hi Guys,
I thought I might post my grain mill progress. It has been a very hectic time over the last couple of months with work, family and wedding plans but I have managed to make some real progress over the last week or so.
I have managed to get all the parts machined up and assembled and I have attached a 6 volt motor that came off my daughters broken electric go-cart/car.
I had trouble with the motor at the start, because the battery it ran off was nackered and the power source I had wasn't high enough amps so it kept stalling when I tried to put grain through it. So I did a test running it on a RC car battery and it munched through the 1/4 cup of grain I put in with no trouble at all :P .
The only thing I need to do now is build a hopper, get a proper power supply and give it a real go!
Anyway here's some pics.
Cheers :drink:

Below are the rollers and eccentric bearing housings I made that give me some fine adjustment

And this is the first assembly pic.

Thanks PP, Yeah there were a few hours involved in it, I didn't keep track though, I probably should have.
