I wonder what they will turn him into after they recycle him. A 3 vessel brewer maybe :idiot:

Hahahaha!

I was a three vessel brewer in my last cycle. I'm bloody scared though my next cycle is going to be as a calculator case :o.

Aces*, scored 6 cubes for $8.80 each a few weeks ago. Going direct to packaging suppliers makes a big difference on price for cubes, fermentors, tubs etc.

:peace:

*Off-topic for Aces: Going to PM you in the next few weeks re you and I doing a double batch side by side ;).

Went back to the plastics place today for some tubs but unfortunately these were pretty expensive. They said that things like cubes, fermentors and pails are all standard sort of sizes and have a high turn over so the savings are huge on those (50-70%). Tubs, not so good :dunno:.

(Aces, will send PM/email now ;))

All,

Earlier in this thread I said....
I bought extra screw caps to fit them with a air lock. The idea was to use the No Chill containers as a extra fermenter. I still haven't done that! I rarely have more than 3 buckets fermenting at a time. I thought the the cleaning would be difficult but not hard to do infrequent as it would be done.

I brewed and No Chilled a Black IPA on this past St. Paddy's day. The next day (or so) I added the yeast to the N/C cube (now fitted with a air lock). When it completed fermentation I siphoned it into a keg and dumped another Black IPA (this time brewed with peated malt) onto the yeast cake (in) the first N/C cube! Both beers were fermented in the same N/C cube!(no buckets used for two brews!)

Both beers turned out great! The second Black IPA that had a pound of Peated malt in it was (is) especially good! Rich and complex. A good sipping beer! Cleaning the cube was somewhat difficult. I did a lot of shaking and rinsing. But it was not enough of a problem to detour me from doing it again! I have both beers on tap! The first beer is on nitrogen. The second is on a regular tap. How I suffer for my craft!
