Hi all,
I'm from Tamworth, England.
I've only just started brewing, I have a Woodfordes Wherry in the fv at the minute, first brew I've ever done. It's a kit, but already decided viability is the way forward for me. I'm going to do a couple more kits to get the basics right and then I'm thinking of getting the kit I need for maxi-biab as space and money are a consideration and I've heard good reports of this style of brewing, but I know full well that you guys know better than I.
See you around the boards

1. Living in canada at the moment
2. Basic brewing podcast. Been BIAB for half a year - second hand equipment and watched some youtube videos.
3. Been great, but having issues ending with the right wort volume at the end of the biol - usually over shoot.
4. about 4 years of extract, with yearly cider batches
5. Working in an accounting office at the moment - would love to move into something more brewing related, or at least more in touch with the land.

Glad to have you here gerham, I'm in the Western NY area myself (Rochester). Why wait to "graduate" to all grain, you can use a hot plate to brew all grain in your dorm room right now using BIAB!

Hola,
I have fairly recently started brewing and have 3 batches from kits under my belt. I am enjoying the process and have been doing a bit of research about taking my brewing all grain. I have ordered myself a boiler to go for a BIAB batch next. I know there are 1001 brewing blogs out there but I have made homebrew blog #1002. Trying to keep it light hearted and story driven. Not really a how-to type guide. Please come visit. I will also be using this forum for tips, tricks and inspiration.

Welcome to the forum Hammoco,
I think you will find BIAB the simplest way from a home brewer to do whole grain beers. And BIABrewer.info to be the most consistently good source of info for BIAB'ers.
Cheers,
Scott

Hi folks, I'm from North Wales (UK) and am a relative newcomer to home brewing with just one kit extract brew under my belt. Eager to progress my brewing, however, I have just invested in a large steel pot and some grain to use in conjunction with a kit extract for my next brew.
I discovered this site whilst researching ways to improve my beer and since registering and having a look around it seems very well structured and incredibly interesting. I look forward to learning from - and contributing to - the community.
Cheers!

Welcome FarmBoy,
Biab is the easy way to move to all grain, the different is No Extract, but learning to Mash.
To understand what we are doing,
You can Download BIABACUS at http://www.biabrewer.info/viewtopic.php?t=1869
and read the Clear Brewing Terminology (CBT) http://www.biabrewer.info/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2685
And be able to brew BIAB quickly.

G'Day,
I've only been brewing for a few months now, extract only.
I've got the brewing bug and now want to delve into BIAB before eventually doing All-Grain.
Which is why I've been researching this site..... Very impressed with the information being shared.
cheers!
Sus.

suspect75 & oodmargi,
Welcome to BIABrewer! I joined just a week ago and have been extremely impressed with the responsiveness of the site moderators and members. Everyone is quick to respond, very knowledgeable, and friendly. I have just brewed my first BIAB myself and doing another this weekend. I used to do all-grain 3-tier brewing using 15 gallon (57 L) kettles and am now doing BIAB in a 8.75 gal (33 L) kettle on a grill outside of my 5th wheel RV....and enjoying my brew days so much more. BIAB is the way to go. Enjoy!
Post any questions you have...including how to navigate the website...I am still learning that myself.
Make sure you download the BIABacus and play around with it. It is the most comprehensive brewing calculator/recipe formulator I have ever used.

Hi everyone,
Ned here from sunny Ireland. Just did my first BIAB brew (helles bock). Efficiency wasn't as planned so I started scouting for info and got some great hints from this site. Work full time as a brewer but brewing in the garage is very different to the day job. Once again great site.

Ned, welcome to the site. You will get all the assistance you need if you ask for it. However, I will wager that due to the fact you work in a brewery, you will soon be answering a lot of questions for other members relating to the "science" of brewing.
Welcome aboard and happy BIAB brewing!
