Welcome to the Club Thomas.
There is a ton of great information here; it may be a little difficult to find at times. Search, read, learn and ask away if there is something you can't find.
Prost!

So, my first post!

I'm from Sweden and have brewed at home for over a year. Now I want to start using the BIAB method and have stumbled on this site from a swedish home brew site.
I use at the moment the continuous sparge method by using two buckets.

I hope this site could help me in my brewing development and that I could help others :)

Hi all

I have learnt some great info from this site and I am very grateful to all the participants who have contributed so much knowledge. I started brewing from kits this year and quickly moved to my first BIAB in July - Graham Wheeler's recipe for Timothy Taylor Landlord, and I think it turned out great! I am in Worcestershire, England.

Welcome and salutations. There is a lot to read and a lot if it is not perfect information. However! Over all, you should be able to glean enough facts and figures to brew a fabulous beer! Sometimes the journey is worth more than the destination? Good luck!

Hello!

I'm a new brewer from Michigan that just did my first Biab last night. 5 gallon American Wheat. It's fermenting along nicely, although my efficiency was low. Possibly due to low mash time or improper grind on my grains. I'm really looking forward to learning more as I go!

Hello all,

Started kits a little over a year ago. Moved on to extract and steeping grains in January and have since made approx 20 small batch brews. Time to move on and I'm wondering if BIAB is for me.....

I want to go all grain but currently live in a small apartment with limited brewspace. Perhaps BIAB is the perfect compromise? I am interested in small batch as I like to brew as often as possible in order to gain more experience and familiarise myself with a wider range of grains, hops and yeast, so I am considering the mini/stove top method using a approx 20l vessel to produce approximately 10l of beer. This seems like a great site and I will spend a week or so researching here before I take the plunge.

One initial question I have is regarding the BIABucus which I understand is a recipe calculator? For my extract plus steeping grain brews I used the calculator on brewersfriend.com which also has a BIAB option. Does anyone have any experience in using it? I found it pretty good for my extract calculations....

Hi everyone! I heard about biabrewer on the Basic Brewing Radio Podcast. I brewed once, years ago, but I have made 4 5 gal extract batches since January. I have one more kit to finish, then I want to switch to BIAB.

I already have a huge kettle and some kegs, so I can't wait.

Hello all!

New member from Braintree, MA in the USA. Been an all grain brewer for 5 years and dabbled in extract way back in the 90's. As I approach my mid 50's. it's getting harder and harder to lift mash tuns and kettles full of liquid/grain, so have decided to do more BIAB brews, especially when brewing alone.

Found this site thanks to the forums on Homebrewtalk.com and figured this would be the place to be!

Welcome all. BIAB is easy as falling off a log! The information you need is here in abundance. You just have to separate the wheat from the chafe?

Hi everyone,
I'm Bruno from Brazil. I found BIABrewer while looking up some info regarding pot sizes for an equipment I'm currently assembling. I'm living in an appartment and space is a constraint, so I'm going with BIAB and electric heating. My idea is to be able to get everything in a single pot, so I want to learn everything possible regarding this setup.
Cheers! :drink:

Hi everyone, I live in the UK and got into home brewing a couple of months ago and have been using kit based brews to date but they have worked out OK but don't seem to present too much of a challenge!

A friend and colleague had ventured into All Grain about a year ago and his beer is so impressive compared to even the premium kits I have used. This has tempted me to dip my toes into All Grain and with room for storage being a problem,BIAB seems the perfect answer.

The sites looks great and very informative, so hoping to be able to progress with this method and contribute any lessons I learn along the way

Hi guys, welcome to all of you. My first two BIAB brews using existing (other people's) recipes converted via BIABacus have been absolutely delicious, so much so that I have a few tins on my shelf and I'll probably give them away to friends!

I made some good can brews, including a stout that I thought was pretty amazing, but after switching I wonder why it took me so long and I wouldn't ever go back!
