Hi all,
Chris here,a born and bred Aussie originally from Brisbane, but now calling Port Coquitlam BC, Canada home. I've always loved a good cold one but living on this side of the world has really opened my eyes to what a really good cold one can be!
I've been extract brewing for ~18 months and have recently move to BIAB. Just did my second batch today, lots of fun. Cant wait for the next!
Bottoms up!
Chris

Hello BIABers,
My name is Matt and I'm from the lower North Shore in Sydney. Have been brewing in a bag for a couple of months (3 brews down) using a 40L crown urn. The beers so far have been awesome, but I'm always willing to learn more.
Especially looking forward to trying out BIABacus, as the software I've used to date has been unwieldy.
Cheers,
Matt.

Hey everyone,
My name is Josh and I am living in northern British Columbia.. Hazelton area. I have never done an AG and can't wait to try BIAB. I have brewed extract ~20 times in the past but have been inactive in the last couple years (mainly since moving north).
I just ordered an 8 gallon BIAB setup along with a 5g keg setup, currently in the mail. First recipe will be a West Coast IPA. I plan on using Summit and Mosaic hops for the inaugural BIAB IPA - have a pound of each on the way.
This website is such a great resource, so much information to take in and learn. Thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge and experiences! Exciting.

I'm from central Arkansas, USA and looking forward to attempting my first BIAB! I've got a couple of successful extract brews under my belt and am intrigued by the simplicity of BIAB vs traditional three-vessel brewing. I figured this is a good place to get started with BIAB.

Native from Central Virginia on the East Coast of the U.S. Have been extract brewing for several months now and want to begin brewing all-grain. Local brew shop is a big proponent of BIAB and suggested this site. A real wealth of information!

Hi all
I'm a long time AG brewer. Have changed from a 3V gravity system to a Braumeister due to time restraints.
As I have a 20L BM, it's a bit hard to do High Gravity beers in it (1070+), so im looking into using BIAB for barley wines and imperial beers. Or possibly mashing the two methods together.
- Looks like a good source for gaining specific info without a barrage of muti-directional replies

Basic Brewing Podcast2. How did you stumble across the site?
Very Green3. What you think of it so far?
Been Brewing for a number of years from 3V to a 20L Braumeister and now want to incorporate BIAB as I cant babysit a 3V system for 6 hours at a time anymore.4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
Some of you may recognise my username, Don't panic, I come in peace and the quest for info.
Hopefully I can share some of my experience too

Welcome all. The time is ripe for you to join up with the heretic class of brewers. I was 3v and converted to BIAB but you don't have convert. Just use the BIAB principles to help you "Convert All-Grain to All-Grins"

Alright,
I'm a new brewer from Glasgow. Been pointed in this direction by the homebrewforum. Currently waiting on my 50L pot so I can start BIAB. Seriously impressed with BIABicus, already answered so many questions.
Cheers

I'm Erik. Living in Oklahoma, U.S.A. I've checked out this site a few times over the past several months and just heard a couple of members being interviewed on the Basic Brewing Radio podcast. This site seems like the best resource for BIAB. I've done a few batches of homebrew so far, 3 extract with steeping grains and 4 BIAB. BIAB have turned out far better than than the others so I'm looking to learn more.

Newest member here, from small town Alberta, Canada.
I've been brewing wine/kit beer/extract with my dad most of my life, now I've decided it's time to up the game and work my way into all-grain BIAB brewing.
I'll be starting out with a 30-qt turkey fryer w/45,000 BTU burner I picked up at Home Depot, and doing a variation on BIAB by mashing in a bag in a 60qt cooler I already own. This way, I should be able to brew 5.25-5.5 gallon batches without worrying about over flowing. Fermcap will obviously be mandatory for the boil.
I'm still debating whether or not a batch sparge would be beneficial - I'm leaning towards no, but if for some reason I end up with low OG or less pre-boil volume than I anticipated, I'll probably run a couple of litres through it again.
I'm still waiting for a few minor components to get started brewing, so I'm glad I found this place. I'll be investigating all the forums, checking out your recipes, and trying to figure out BIAbacus.
Thanks everyone for being part of such a helpful community!

Greetings,
I'm from Milwaukee, WI, USA, and I've been brewing since 1995. I've brewed a little over 250 batches, averaging about 12 batches a year. I've been a batch sparge/2 vessel brewer for many years. I did my first BIAG batch in 2009, and it turned out great. Since then I've brewed about 80% batch sparge and 20% BIAB, but I'm slowly drifting more towards BIAB.
I've recently bought an Induction Burner, and I've been brewing a series of low alcohol (2-3% ABV) table beers (3 Gallon batch size), and they've all been BIAB. Yes, you can make a satisfying low gravity beer: you just have to use a lot of wheat, rye and oats to get a nice body. Flavorful yeast and/or hops also help.
Looking forward to learning even more about this great hobby.
Cheers,
Jeff

Hey, all! First post time.
I'm from the Puget Sound area of the state of Washington in the USA. I first came across the site thanks to a referral from a co-worker who's actually teaching a BIAB class at a local LHBS this coming Saturday (3-May).
Still a lot to take in here, but I look forward to diving in and giving it my all. I've only been homebrewing for a few months, but after doing a few LME batches, I accidentally purchased an AG recipe kit. Rather than sell it or let it sit in the garage, I decided to go with it. A short time later I purchased the base equipment to move out of my kitchen and into the garage with a nice 15 gallon kettle.

Hey guys,
My name is John and I'm from Northwest Indiana, I've been brewing about a year now, and BIAB for probably 9 months of that. I recently was listening to a beer podcast when biabrewer came up and biabacus was discussed. Got me quite interested in the software so figured I had to try it out!
I recently obtained a keggle that I just installed a spigot on today, and hopefully my bag big enough for it will be here tomorrow so I'll be able to get a brew in!
Look forward to learning more from this community, as the podcast I was listening to really opened my eyes to the vast amout f knowledge I still had to gain.
