Hi all,

I'm from Newcastle, Australia. After about 7 years of extract brewing, I've made the switch to all grain. I have had around 5 attempts at BIAB, and wish I made the jump earlier after finding it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be. Most BIAB attempts have turned out decent so far, but have been wanting to understand a bit more about the BIAB process. Found this site after hearing of the BIAB calculator - the site looks to have a lot of great information.

Cheers,
Dylan

Hi guys

Dane living in Montreal, Canada here. I have been brewing partial mash for a while and there seems to be an awful lot of knowledge in here about smaller stovetop mashes etc. I am also looking for access to some of the many great tools this site seems to contain, not least the different calculators.

Cheers,
Thomas

Hello all,

just here doing a bit of research on the BIAB method. Have been doing extract brews (maybe around 20 so far), and thinking about trying out BIAB to give all grain a shot.

Cheers

Alex

Hi all...

From the UK here and returned to brewing this year after long lay off. So far been doing kits and and simple extract brews with speciality grains and hops. Looking to expand into BIAB as it seems a good way to go given space limitations etc...

Cheers to all...

Tony

Good Day Tony (StrangerBrew), Wwelcome to the site, Good the see another U.K. Brewer going BIAB, It doesn't take too much space, except for the 5-6 fermenters you may brew, and the Freezer for Lagering batches, as you go BIAB full time! Let us help with anything you would like to know, We can always be of help.

Welcome Strangebrew.

Great to see you getting into AG and looking at the Biab method. It a great way to brew if your short of space and the results are as equal to (if not better ) than 3V systems.

Post away if you have any questions and be sure to let us know how your brewing goes.

Hi All

Just found this forum and it looks really useful. I live in the Peak District in the UK and apart from cheap kits from Boots back in the 70s, I have been seriously brewing for about 3 years. I started with better quality kits and am currently trying to invent my own recipes using dried malt extract and hops, etc.

I am keen to try all-grain and so BIAB seems a great way to get into it without the need for expensive equipment.

My stock-pot is a bit smaller than the one described in the Mini BIAB section and so I am keen to see what "The Calculator" says I should be doing. I don't currently seem to have the required permissions to download it and so any advice would be appreciated.

I look forward to letting you know how my first BIAB project goes, something to keep me busy over Christmas probably.

Best Regards ... Henry.

I am Jeff and wanted to say hi. Just registered. I have been an extract brewer for a year and after reading about BIAB I tried my first one yesterday. Well, I made about all of the mistakes one could, not enough mash water, etc. The yield was lower than expected but the OG was where I wanted. So when I found this site I figured I could learn more about BIAB and be a better brewer. I am really excited about this technique and can't wait to learn and brew more.

Hi all.

I'm Will, and have been an extract/partial brewer for the last few years up here in Brissie. I finally decided to move into the world of all grain brewing and after a visit to my local brewers club some of the guys there suggested I look into BIAB. So I've been doing a little research online and that's how I stumbled across this site. I'm blown away by the amount of useful information here and can tell this will be a great source for helping me get into the swing of things.

Hello,
I've been brewing for a couple of years. I've been reading up on the different brewing methods used by homebrewers. A thread on HBT sent me here. I hope to learn as much here as I have on HBT.
I plan on setting up an electric BIAB home brewery.

Cheers

Howdy all. Andy here from Adelaide, South Australia. I've been brewing now for about 4 years, only extract though so far but hoping to step up to mash brewing with my BIAB setup as soon as possible (this weekend if I can get those last few bits and pieces together). I recently did a mash brewing course at TAFE and came across this site and the BIAB technique after one of the other guys in the course gave it a wrap. I can see why, it looks like a great forum and invaluable source of info. Can't wait to get into it! Cheers

Hello I'm Doug, I'm 27 and I live in the Mojave desert in Southern California. I have brewed one BIAB and I am brewing my second today. I have brewed about 10 extract brews. I was looking for more information on BIAB and came across this site. I'm stoked to have so much information available. I work in an Emergency Room as an RN.
