Hi guys, lovely to be here.
I'm Dylan, from Perth. I have only been brewing for about a month, and have made 4 batches so far. My initial motivation was to cut down my ridiculous spending on beer tasting over the past couple years and hopefully emulate their quality. I thought of myself as semi-knowledgeable when i started, since i'd been doing a lot of reading for about a year, although i realised it's hard to prepare yourself for the challenges of your first brew. That one (Cascade IPA) is looking to be drinkable when its ready, but my other three (Rye IPA, Chocolate Stout, Magnum/Centennial IPA) are coming along amazingly. I'm using a 40L crown urn for my BIAB system and couldn't be happier, although i'm still trying to solve some of my volume/efficiency challenges.
Cheers

Hi, my name is Massimo and I'm a 22 years old Italian student with the passion for homebrewing. I found this site while looking for Biab information and I fell in love with it. I think that this is probably the best site for Biab brewers around, full of usefull information. I have already brewed 3 times, using the Biab method. I'm sure I will learn a lot from you guys.

1. Where are you from?
Hanford, California
2. How did you stumble across the site?
Searching for info on BIAB
3. What you think of it so far?
The site? It's cool! Seems like there's a lot of good info here, which is great because I need to learn lol
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
I've only brewed once - an extract brew of the White House Honey Ale. It didn't taste like honey at all! More like a Newcastle!
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household?
I do work in the technology field.
I'm happy to be here and to learn more about BIAB. I just bought a BrewBag and am eager to try it out in my 10gal Megapot on my new Blichmann burner

Heya, everyone!
I'm from the U.S. east coast (in case CT Yankee wasn't a dead giveaway!)
I've been brewing for a couple of years, about 20 batches mixed between extract and all-grain. I'm very interested in BIAB and picked up the bag, a pulley system and am ready to get started.
I heard about the site on a Beersmith podcast interview, and was impressed, amazed and enthused.
I couldn't have gotten into this hobby (or made drinkable beer!) without the help of forums and great home brewers. Thank you for leading the way!

Hey I'm a new brewing enthusiast from Chicago, Illinois, usa. Have a few meads and ciders fermenting away, and just bottled a malty cider (cider + dme + seeped rye + hops). Otherwise totally new to the hobby. Planning to use biab to make an all grain Scottish ale for my first real beer!

I'm neither a bot nor a spammer but I much prefer to keep my privacy - I don't even have a facebook account and I love it this way. I could of course claim my name was John (or Mary, or Kenzaburo) from Nashville (or Moscow, or Nairobi) but why tell lies if not pushed into a corner.
I'm a novice brewer and have by now only managed a couple of brews. My space is limited as I live in a flat, not in a house, but I sacrificed our guest bathroom to Ninkasi and Meine Frau had to swallow it for the love of me and beer. No kids, so that was easier a bit.
Space limitations called for a setup different from traditional 3 vessel stand, hence my interest in BIAB.
This forum was recommended to me by a HBT fellow forum member, and so here I am
That's pretty much it, hope it won't be considered rude for my reluctance to give full introductions.

Hey all Newbie here. A little background; I'm a Retired US Navy, Retired US worker and have been brewing about 1 1/2 yrs. now. I started with extracts went to specialty grains then to BIAB. I've been using a 5 gal pot for 5 gal batches and plan on upgrading to 11 gal. eBIAB in about a month. Looking forward to posting my brewing days and reading about yours as we travel this road together.

FlyingZayin and JohnSant, welcome to the forum.
FlyingZayin - I suppose if you want to keep where you are from to yourself, that's your business... That said, it is nice to see where the different people are from. Seems you gave a pretty good hint with your beer choice, but between you and I - they probably have that in Nairobi too!
JohnSant - thank you for your service to our country!
I went from 5 gallon to 15 gal when I went to BIAB. Almost went with a 10-gallon brew kettle. Glad I went bigger! Cost a few bucks more but I have potential to brew bigger batches (wasn't planning on it but a double batch became a necessity a couple months ago). Also higher gravity beers are much easier to brew with a larger pot. Anyhow, that is my two cents worth.
Joshua gave some excellent links a few posts above. Let us know if there are any questions.

Now that is actually really interesting! "In a different life" that could have been me...with interests plus university study. Probably not a lot of good beer choices in China.
This forum is not like Facebook. I don't do Facebook or social networking either. Can't believe the amount of time people invest in stuff that doesn't matter. Instead I spend much of my free time reading about brewing and how to homebrew better... Maybe that's not any better.
.....
I don't know...but beer tastes good and is very interesting; so that reasoning works for me.

Hi, I'm Gareth and I'm from the UK. I stumbled across a link to this site on the Brewdog Equity Punks forum.
I've been brewing for a few years now, but still consider myself a bit of a newbie - I've done 12 brews to date, around half of those using kits, about 3 extract and 3 all grain. The last few all grain have been using a bag, but until this site I haven't found such detailed help or instructions, so hopefully it will help massively in getting things better with my upcoming brews.
Looking forward to getting more stuck in to the wealth of information on here and chatting to you all!

Hey
Im Stuart from the Netherlands.
I started with extract brewing and want to go futher to all grain brewing.
The methode of brew in a bag i found out on a dutch form. And became more and more interested in it
To me it looks like a very nice way to brew with a tiny bit less equitment.
I hope i will find on this forum some more information that i need before i will make me first real beer :d
