non fermentable grains

Post #1 made 10 years ago
Hi all,

I'm inputting a recipe for a 80 shilling ale.

when putting in the grain bill, how do I put in a grain that doesn't have any fermentable sugars? Is there a place that I have to note this

Sorry if this is unclear.

Greg - yes if non-fermentable you have to make sure it is properly noted so that it doesn't give points toward the fermentable grain bill.

Go into the Fermentable Bill Design section. For Methods - I believe you choose "Boiled Only" for Method. Goes in the cell just to the right of the Fermentable - almost looks like it is in same cell (not), and before EBC field further to the right. This should take credit out so your non-fermentable grain doesn't count toward the Fermentable grain bill.
