G'day

My name is Luke and I live on the Sunshine Coast in Qld, Im originally from the South Coast of NSW. Im a student studying education who was a brickie in a previous life......yawn.

Ive been brewing beers for a little over 2 years, started on kits n kilos, moved onto extractsthen onto BIAB and I am loving it. I have 6 BIAB under my belt and Im super keen to learn more and or share experiences.

I bulk prime my beers and 'no-chill' because it is convenient. I really want to learn how to make hoppy ales such as APA, IPA etc. So if anyone has any advice on cube hopping or getting hoppy beers from 'no-chill' I would be extremely grateful.

I found this site from Australian Home Brewerand from first glance it looks like its going to serve me well.

Thanks in advance for any feedback and cheers for reading.

Hi all,

I have been brewing kits and extract brews for 4 or 5 years and ready for something new. I'm from Sunshine Coast in Queensland, found the forum through Aussie Home Brewer. Looks to be so much fantastic stuff on here!

Cheers

Im am looking at starting a BIAB set-up, having previously played around with various beer kits that have been bought for me as presents.

BIAB seems like a more manageable step (in knowledge and equiptment) before i look at 3V AG brewing.

Im based in Northamptonshire, England.

Hopefully ill be able to make some contribution to the site in the future!

Good day,
I brewed my first batch of beer in 1998 and have been at it ever since. I came upon the BIAB method a couple of years ago and I was really impressed by the elegance of the method. I've become an enthusiastic BIAB-er and while I have dialed in my system to produce consistent results, I'm always interested in new thinking. Posting here mostly so that I can add some insight into the dust-up over at HBT regarding the idea of 10-minute mashes.

Hello, another new member from Pittsburgh, PA USA. Listened to a podcast about BIAB that turned me on to the forum. Very interested in the spreadsheet. Will be performing my first BIAB in a few weeks (have a few extract recipes in the closet that need made first). Have been an 'avid' extractd brewer for the last 2-3 years. Averaging 1-2 batches a month. Trying out BIAB for more hands on approach and to see how it affects my brew day time and beer quality. Looking forward to spending some time reading and learning!

Jmd471,

BIAB is hands down the easiest way to brew. If the beer comes out the same? Why bother with all the extra work? (got to go, I have to check my boil. Brewing NIAB now!)

Welcome, Jeatmon... I've been brewing a long time.. probably longer than you are old :) However, I'm really just getting my feet wet in BIAB. I like it.. and the more I learn from this group.. the better I like it. I've become a pest.. asking dumb questions.. but the experts in this forum are so very helpful.

jimyoung999,

Welcome to the madness. BIAB is a cure for madness, not it's cause. Mash tuns are!

Hey all,

Looking to start BIAB brewing from Virginia in the US. Came across this site through homebrewtalk and really glad I found this place - lots of BIAB info! I've only done 3 partial extract batches and in the process of wanting to go all-grain found BIAB.

Very interested in starting mini-biab (2.5-3 gallon batches) - also currently looking for the best kettle to achieve this. Currently using a 5 gal SS economy kettle, but would like something more "soup-can" and potentially tri-clad. Just trying to figure out the right size! I've already done some forum searching and there seems to be lots of great advice.

Hello

I'm a plastic Scouser from the Wirral, near Liverpool England.

I've made a few BIAB IPAs with a 20L stock pot and a bag bought from Ebay, and now I am getting a bit more ambitious.

Hello everyone,

I'm very excited to join this community of passionate brewers. I stumbled upon this site when researching the most efficient way to get my own homebrew system started. I've brewed with friends (with very expensive and complicated systems) and finally decided to take the plunge and go at it alone. I was incredibly happy to learn about the BIAB method of brewing and am excited to try it out.

Thanks in advance for helping me out with all the issues I may have. Hopefully I can represent California with class on this forum.
