Yes a mash out has been proven to increase mash efficiency and it's really easy to do with biab and doesn't add any additional time to your brew day.
Simply ensure you bag isn't touching elements or the bottom of your pot while applying heat (it's a good idea to continually stir while applying heat to ensure there is no scorching of the grain/bag) and then pull the bag once the desired mash out temp is reached. Simples.
You should use the default BIABacus efficiency's to start (assuming you are using the BIABacus?) if your not I suggest u download it for free from this site.
I'm using BeerSmhit, it's good end easy, and it's have also a BIAB method mash, whit mash out, for that I've had this doubt.
In Beersmith the efficiency it's choosen from the brewer.
