So after discovering I couldn't just split an ag recipe in to two. I've thought about what I'd like from a beer or more importantly what my wife will drink. So after discussing with her it's going to be a very pale beer almost lager with some sweetness
So can some one help? What I currently have is
100g of challenger hops
60g of EKG
Chocolate malt
Obvistly ill need my base malt maybe even try a lager malt ?
The equipment I have is a 17 litre pan measuring 30cm across and 25 cm deep
I'm looking at into Fv around 11-12 litre
Not a clue if this is an impossible amount from a small pan
Please note I'm in the uk so any measurements I've stated as uk not us etc and any ingredients should be easy available in the uk
Thanks Sean

With those Challenge hops you are looking a Coniston Bluebird clone straight in the mouth !! It may not be as pale as your wife would like but it is a classic bitter. I've got/had a recipe somewhere

If you can find the recipe and ratio it to my pan size that be grand ta yeasty
Guessing it will be around 2kg of pale 500 crystal steeped for 60 then about 50g of hops 20 at start then the rest at two other points ?
It will be good to go buy a blue bird and put mine side by side if/when I make it

I'll dig it out and Biabacus it for you. I had it on this computer but the file is missing
its a simple brew just pale malt and a touch of crystal. I'll go check the main PC..

Thank you just a slight thought there should be a late hop addition like 10 minutes before the end (I'm just guessing ) I could sub the challenger for EKG to give it a very very slight twist. Don't be offended I'm just bouncing ideas around

Bounce away pal, its all part of the fun.
I've lost all by old recipes for some reason
but I do have my brew notes so all is not lost. The recipe I have has a 40g addition of challenger at 90min and 20g at 15min with IBU at approx 37. Adding your EKG would do no harm.
I'll write up a biabacus for your pot and post a linky here to the recipe thread, you can then play with the hop schedule at will.

Biabacus for Bluebird can be found Here
If you have any questions regarding the recipe post them in that thread to keep things together.
