I'm nat. I live in Philadelphia.
I came across this site after I heard a podcast about BIAB on Brew Strong with Jamil.
I've brewed 10 batches in about 7 or 8 months. Started with kits and moved on to clone recipes. I did a BIAB a few weeks ago. It was an ESB. Looking forward to my next BIAB brewday.

Hello BIAB fellow brewers! I'll be picking up my barley grain this week, and I can't wait to get started...
I'm from the Ottawa area in Canada. I came across the site via a google search. I've been brewing seriously for about 6 months, doing DME and HME kits, some mini mashes, doing full boils (6.5 gals), adding my own twist by using various hop additions. I'm a hop head, with Cascade being my fav.
I look forward to learning from such a large and experienced group of brewers...

My husband and I have always loved beer, but we did not start brewing until December of 2012. We have brewed 30 batches of beer thus far. We want to get into all-grain brewing, but do not want the hassle and expense of multiple kettles/mash tuns and sparging. We brewed an all-grain hefeweizen that came out quite nicely, but we really enjoy the more high-grav brews, especially imperial IPAs and imperial stouts.

Hey, just found this forum when researching how to get started with BIAB. I've done about a dozen extract kit batches and am ready to start moving up. I'd heard about BIAB before, but just now decided to try and get started with it.

Hi am a newbie to BIAB but have done a few batches. Am really keen to learn more from the pros. Am using a 30l Burco and standard mashing bag in our one bedroom flat so have a pretty basic set up but have made some pretty good beers so far.
I am really keen to learn how to use BIABacus but don's know how i can download the calculator. Any help would be really appreciated.
Many thanks.
Jamie

Hi all,
And to think I was under the impression that "BIAB" was some sort of over-fangled way to brew. Aimed at college kids. You know, just another way to overpay for a brew. All in a giant "smack-pack" of some sort, just hit it, and a week later, BEER! Wow. I sure am glad I take the time to read about things I THINK I have little interest in.
I have managed to do some extracts, some with specialty grains, and the specialty grain brews really stood out. I wanted to go all-grain, but didn't want to fill the garage with equipment. Don't recall where I was first reading about BIAB, but it made so much sense I'll have to do it! And if I do it, I'll do well to be part of this forum where I can get the most experienced help! Still collecting stuff before I brew- including A CO2 system with kegs. Don't want to collect so many bottles.
Cheers!!

gnarlyhopper,
You seem to be on the road to "Hoppiness". Bottles are a pain but are needed for some specific uses, (competitions, gifts and brew club meetings) We will be waiting to hear how your brewing experience evolves.

Hi from Minnesota!
I was referred to this site by a poster at HomeBrewTalk.
I just switched over to BIAB, after a half dozen or so extract batches. I just bottled my first BIAB, a 3 gallon SMaSH batch with Maris Otter, Cascade and US-05. Can't wait to taste it.
Looking forward to learning more.
Cheers!

Dont know if I have posted or not. I registered a while ago as I liked the idea of BIAB brewing but then rethought that I would just go 3 vessel. I recently built a boiler out of a mango chutney barrel for full length extract brews as I like big hoppy beers but then managed to get a 10G pot for a good price so am thinking I will move onto eletric BIAB. So I have come back to the forum inseach of bag designs and what sort of stiching to go for. Looking forward to starting the build and I will make sure to post it up as I go.
Apart from that I live in Glasgow and am currently PhD student studying Hydrogen Storage. I am now away to search the site for how tos on stitching and bag design, Wish me luck

Greetings all! I've been brewing extract for a few months (4 brews). I started with a Mr Beer kit for my first two brews (American Pale Ale and an Amber), then onto a 5 gallon equipment kit for my last two brews (Irish Stout and White house Honey Ale). I am ready to make the move to all grain via BIAB!

Your doing the right thing BIAB is the way to go! Here is a rough copy of a (in-progress) video to watch. I hope to provide a better version and a full BIAB session soon!

Hi all - just joined. Started a few months back with some kits and a few extract brews but BIAB looks a good way to go. Hoping to start with a small setup and do a few 15l brews starting with a simple MO, crystal fuggles brew.
