We have lots of brewers from Perth on this site. So, are you crazy too?? All the information you need to brew a perfect beer is on this forum. It may take some looking to get you cooking but it is there. If you can't find it ask! We are here to assist you.

Thanks Bob,

I'm loving the site so far, I'm still finding it a bit challenging to find a recipe to do in a 19l pot that will make 20l of beer, I'm looking for a pale ale recipe but ill keep searching and hopefully do my first BIAB soon.

Hi All,

Stumbled across this site in a BIAB thread on AHB forums.

Am a kit brewer with about a dozen brews under the belt and after the first couple of experimental brews at high temps I have got my temp control in hand and am now producing beer that I would take any day over 90% of commercial stuff. Even tried a VB the other day out of necessity and struggled to get it down.

So while Im happy with the kit stuff, the idea of getting more involved in the process, brewing cheaper and better beers has pricked my interest so I will have a go at this BIAB caper pretty soon. Looking forward to acquainting myself with some seasoned BIABers.

cheers,
Cam.

Hi

Im Andy, I live in the UK. I received a 1 gallon Brooklyn Brew Shop kit a few weeks ago, and while I LOVED making it, I don’t think it was a huge success! The mini-BIAG method seem a lot more straight forward compared to the BBS method of strainers/extra pots etc, and Im keen to give it a go.

Im also make a lot of bread, including wild yeast/sourdough, and I also plan to try and use some of the beer making by-products – spent grains etc. Here's some of my bread - http://breadnerd.tumblr.com/

Hi Mark from sunny southern England here,

Started Brewing last summer - whilst looking after the kids, on school hols.

4 or 5 kits but not that impressed (although still managed to drink them :) but wanted better and started looking through the forums to improve and BIAB just seemed right - oh yeah, on # 4 now what a difference !!!!

Have used Ralph's Maxi method - thank you.

Think this site is superb and would like to learn more and if I improve my brewing contribute.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Rob here brewing in the Kapiti Coast, New Zealand.
Have been extract brewing off and on for about 2 years, recently getting into it a bit more with grains etc. Looking to try my first AG brew in the bag in a couple of weeks.
Found the site on google while researching BIAB, so hoping to pick up a few tips from the forums.

G'day
I am from south east NSW and have done a few extract kits. However finding this site has spurred me on to get more involved in the process, and feeling more connected to the product. Not to mention making better beer! Thinking of starting small, maybe 12-13L of boiled wort, and hopefully make bigger batches once I get the hang of it. Anyway thanks for providing a site with such a wealth of information and encouragement!

Hi there everyone,

I'm from nz/UK,now Wollongong. A gardener. Been brewing from kits for a year or so, decided to move onto biab.
Waiting on one more piece of kit, and deciding in the meantime how scientific and accurate I should attempt to be. Not that it will last anyway.
Cheers for all the info, I'll be sure to drink to your sponsors.

Hi all, Im Jim. I used to live on the South Coast of England but now live in Windsor. Probably should have chosen a more appropriate username!
Anyway I recently completed my first ever brew, an extract IPA. I am due to start a weissbier extract brew in the next few days but am aiming to get into all-grain asap. I have a 32 litre pot that I am hoping to put to good use. I was sent here by the good folk at brew UK and I see already that this is a great site to learn from.

Hello,

I've been brewing for just over two years now, mainly kits but have just finished my 3rd partial mash and have just ordered a 50 litre stock pot so I can get stuck into BIAB brewing!!!

Born in the UK but have been in New Zealand for the last 9 years and love it here.

The site looks perfect for helping me become a better brewer.

Cheers,

Erl

Welcome southcoastjim, the-erl.

One stop shopping for BIAB (Bye-AB) information awaits you. All grain brewing with BIAB is easy, fast and fun. You can even use your spent grain for (dog biscuits or home baked bread) Good luck!

Hey guys, Mike here, BIAB brewer from Chch NZ. Used to do 3 tier on a friends system but have embraced BIAB due to the more consistent results and ease of use, also the ability to do MUCH larger volumes (in our 100L pot with super strong double bag) that with a cooler mash tun. first 120L brew (with slight dilution in the fermenters) is on the way! Great site and look forward to trawling through all the info...

Afternoon all, I'm from North Somerset, England, and have been brewing kits on and off for the last 5 years. I did my first BIAB earlier on this week adapting a recipe for the Cotleigh Brewery's Barn Owl, it's currently fermenting away nicely, I'm looking forward to trying it!

Cheers.

Hi everyone. Greetings from Oregon.

I have been brewing extract recipes for over a year and have decided that BIAB is the best choice for me as I move to all grain. I am currently assembling all the necessary equipment and hope to have my first go with BIAB in a couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone on the forum, as I have turned to the forum for advice over the last few months in preparation to move to BIAB.
