2nd Biab Fuller's discovery.

This was my second attempt at BIAB. It was roughly based on Graham Wheeler's recipe only I used all pilsner malt. My first all grain got infected and I was a really gutted. I wasn't expecting so much with my second brew. I just thought if it's half decent I'll be happy. Well it's been sitting in the cellar for couple of weeks now so I thought I'd try one. Wow!!! Now I can see what all the fuss is about with all grain BIAB. I'd just like to say thanks for this website. Reading all the guides etc has helped me make a fantastic beer. I'm hooked now. Got 23 litres of Sierra Nevada clone maturing in bottles and a guinness and a Munich helles fermenting away!

Great news! You do know that it is customary to send a sample of your first successful brew to each of the regular members here?

Austria, Australia ... looks pretty close to me! Go ahead and try it. Many people can't tell the difference anyway. I believe the proper procedure is to label it as 'yeast samples in nutrient media'. :argh:

(And, no, the 'WA' in my location is NOT "Western Australia", or Austria, or whatever...)

Hi well done TR3A , I am bottling this in 2 days, this is my second AG brew too I can't wait to try it, I used Pale malt and followed GW's recipe and used S-04 yeast as I couldn't get wyeast1968 in time...

Enjoy...
Cheers

When I first tried a bottle it was too sweet. That was 3 weeks after bottling. Tried one again 2 weeks later and it was totally different. Sweetness has gone and the hops really shine through now. I used S04 yeast too. Really clean taste but not like an ale at all probably because I used all pilsner malt!
