You are correct, BIAB and MINI-BIAB are the way to brew with the least space, and equipmet!

Hello from Stoke-on-Trent!

Have been thinking of going AG for some time, and think BIAB is definitely the way to go.
Read through various other forums previously and particularly liked the way Pistol Patch & Thirst Boy presented it(go all grain for $10).

Still need some equipment, but shouldn't be too far off my first try. I have only done extract, and occasional hop additions so far.

I work as a Design Engineer in Cheshire UK.

Hi all, My name is Richard and I live in Mt Helena West Aust.
I stumbled across the site actually looking for biab which I recalled from a few years ago on AHB.
I have brewed before, but not for quite a while. My old method was 50/50 grain plus a kit. I used the kits to remove bittering out of the equation.
I am not currently brewing but have started to prepare to do so with the objective of keeping it simple.

Welcome Mally and Recharge.

BIAB is the way to go if you are thinking of starting AG brewing. Minimal equipment and great beer :yum: :drink:

You should find all you need here on the forum, so get reading and don't forget to do some posting :peace:

Howdy all. I'm a fairly experienced brewer living in Nashville TN. I've been off and on in my brewing and decided to break out the equipment to do a BIAB batch. I found this site in a Google search and so far I think it's a nice site with good info. I've been making beer for about 12/13 years now and prefer all grain and it seems that BIAB will help to cut down on brewing time.

Good Day TNBrewer, Welcome to the Forum, From Fayatteville TN.

You are correct, Leave the 5-7 hour 3V brewing and move on to 4-5 hour BIAB Brews.

You can go full 5 or 10 gallon brews and do MINI-BAIB 2.5 gallon brews for experimenting new recipes.

Hi Guys
This is my first post. I live in Veteran which is 10 minutes outside Gympie in Queensland. I've been brewing for about 2 years. I moved up from Kit & Kilo to extract brews about 12 months ago. I'm now in the process of putting together my equipment to do my first BIAB. I found the website by surfing the net looking for info on BIAB

Hi,

My names Rob, 30 years old, from Wollongong NSW Australia, rookie brewer, Ive just recently completed my first brew, being a James Squire golden ale. I am interested in Wheat beers, and I was hoping that some people on the forum could help me out with a recipe for a Honey Wheat Beer?
I BIAB, 20 Litre batch, after fermenting I keg it up in 19L kegs.

Hope anyone can help me, and I look forward to being a member of this forum.

Hi everyone

I'm David from sunny (like hell) Bradford in the north of England.

I've done one altered kit brew (coopers IPA dry hopped with cascade) and one Extract with grain brew (Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA)

The extract was good fun but too pricey so want to get into BIAB as soon as possible.

Apologies for the plethora of daft questions I may throw at you ;)

Welcome Dave,

Always nice to see another UK brewer and good to see your looking into BIAB. Miles cheaper than a kit and better tasting too.

Have a good look through the forum as there is loads to read, post away if you have any questions or need help with volumes etc.

Hi all,

Posting from Chicago, IL. I've been brewing for about a year now and have gotten up to stovetop partial mashing. Figured I would just keep up with that general method with miniBIAB and get rid of the whole extract and dillution at the end of the boil part and do full volume all grain. The site seems great and like it will be a huge help in my development as a brewer. Very excited about this method and feel like it will get me even more excited about brewing.

You can use a good size Coffee Urn or build your own custom system.

Thanks for your warm welcome. I have already checked these topics and luckily for me I already have all the help I need. I am currently building my own custom system from an old fuller's draft barel (50 liters)
If I encounter any problems I will let you know though. Come to think of it, I will let you know how it went anyway :party:
I know Kostass from a greek beer forum , but I didn't know he writes here as well.

Hello,
I'm from Ottawa, Canada. I was referred to the site by friends who use biab. The site has a lot of great information. I have brewed a couple of batches with a friends cooler mash-tun and a turkey deep fryer. I just got all the gear to BIAB and have brewed a dunkelweizen and 5 gallons for a 15 gallon batch of Russian Imperial Stout.

I currently work as an Oracle Developer, but that is boring. I would much rather talk about Beer :)
