Hello Friends!
I thought that I had "let go" of this topic, but I find myself "noodling" on how to squeeze more wort out of the grain bag without burning my fingers.
Joshua's post that described using plates to squeeze the bag got me thinking more.
I also entertained the idea of designing a mechanism to squeeze the bag between a plate and the bottom of a plastic bucket (with holes in it).
Finally last weekend I came up with an idea that I'm going to try on my next brew. It utilizes a caulking gun. I posted the details on my blog (see link in signature below). My 5-year old was recruited to model (his hand and foot anyway) for the picture.
I'm always interested in your thoughts on my ideas.
My apologies for those who clicked on the link before and went nowhere...I had a typo.

That is a great idea and I reckon it would suit me for my smaller batches.
I will steal this idea and use it for the good of BIABers everywhere

Thanks for the feedback everyone. If any of you try this, please let me know how it goes, and if you come up with any tweaks/improvements!
Bob, I will always remember your advice to KISS, but I can't promise I'll always abide by it! LOL!

After trying several different ways teh one that works best for me is to place the bag on an oven rack, over the pot, after it's drained for a few minutes, and squeeze it (with gloves) and press it down on the over rack. I seem to get a lot of wort out that way.
These are the gloves, they work great:
