Hello all,
I'm a newer brewer and am looking to improve my BIAB processes. Hope to contribute here as I learn more. Professionally, I'm owner of a meteorological consultancy and father of 3.

Hey Everyone! I'm Jon and I'm new here. YAY!
1. Where are you from? - Massachusetts, North of Boston.
2. How did you stumble across the site? - Was doing research on mash tuns and came across a post on reddit in r/homebrewing which had a bunch of comments about BIAB, and linked to this forum.
3. What you think of it so far? - great so far, have already found a bunch of helpful info. Looking forward to being fully registered, so I can see attachments!
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using? - Yes, been brewing for about 2 years. Have only done extract so far. Started doing partial boils and bottling, but now I am doing full boils, and I built myself a kegerator, so I am kegging everything. My birthday is coming up, so I'm asking for new equipment so I can start BIAB-ing (is that how I would say it?)
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household? - I work. I'm a Product Manager for a web application at a company that mainly sells environmental contamination data, but other types of data, too.
Thanks! Looking forward to my first batch!
-Jon

Hi there,
I've just bought a BIAB set-up from G&G and am about to brew my first - a basic US ale. This will be a very sane and safe brew but I look forward to stepping up and experimenting a bit more as the weather cools down. I've brewed kit & kilo efforts for about 20 years now down here in SW Vic but unfortunately now have to travel many km's to get to my 'local' home brew store and all that knowledge/experience. I hope I can tap into some of that though this forum.
Thanks from Dipper

Hi all,
I'm an extract kit brewer looking to expand my horizons. This website has sparked my interest in the BIAB method and motivated me to buy a 40 qt stock pot and 2 yards of voile. I am hoping to get a better understanding of this concept before diving in. Can't wait to read 'The Commentary'!
Thanks,
Chasman

@passintyme1
Totally agree about your sidelines comment. I tell (and show) my good friends how easy it is to do provided a couple of rules are followed. Now I have 2 more potential BIABers lined up to start this spring here.
Hopefully groupd malt buys will be easier now

1. Where are you from?: Minnesota, USA
2. How did you stumble across the site?: I came across the site on a comment posted by Sigurdur Gudbrandsson on the Northern Brewer website. There was a video posted on BIAB (link) that caught my attention as I have been considering a move to all grain but I have been a little put off by needing to get more equipment.
3. What you think of it so far? The site looks well organized and everyone sounds excited about what you can accomplish with BIAB. I like it.
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using? I have been home brewing for a year now. I have 10 extract recipes and 2 mead recipes under my belt. I just moved to kegging (built a keezer) over the holidays.
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household? I work. I travel quite a bit, which makes keeping tabs on my fermenting brews a challenge. My wife is learning more than she thinks as she is my backup when I am away.
