Looks like a very comprehensive site with highly useful information, and I am eager to have the ability to read all guides. I am currently just a starting extract brewer (having brewed two batches) but am considering going the BIAB way. Thanks a lot.
Welcome aboard Ido. Nice to see more Israelis joining. Happy brewing.

This is my first post. My name is Shahar and I'm from Israel. I've Heard about this forum from Shibolet.
I am a new BIAB brewer - I brewed 3 batches of BIAB so far, after a year of brewing extracts. I've Experienced in making mead and many kinds of "fruit wines" such as apples (cider), cherry, pears (perry) and Passiflora, but my true love is beer - so here I am, looking forward to learn and make great all-grain beers.

Cheers!
Shahar,

Hey folks
I'm Graeme, from Glasgow, Scotland.
I've been brewing from kits for a couple of years now, and had read of BIAB but not paid much attention. I've got a bit more time on my hands of late, so have been doing more reading and found a link here from Kim's beer kit forum. I figured I should join up, get to know a bit more about BIAB and ask any questions I have before work gets hectic again and i resume my work/sleep/work/sleep routine ;)

Good Day Graemet, welcome to this site, It's good to hear from somone from a place where Malt is brewed, but never drunk, until it's Distilled. BIAB is a great way to brew, even if it is distilled. Just kidding.
This is the way to go All-Grain with a kettle, a bag, and a fermenter.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the BIAB method, but have been brewing extract for some time. I decide to move to all-grain, but did not want to commit to the new equipment. BIAB was recommended and I decided to give it a try. I will attempt my first brew within the next two weeks.

Good Day Reeb, If you have a good sized kettle, and a good fermenter, all you need is a good sized bag to fit the kettele, and a lot of grain. BIAB is the next step from extact and steeped grains. With the minimum equipment, You can work with temperature, time, and recipe to make the best beer you can!
Good Luck on your first brew, and let know how it turns out!

Good Day Browillard, Welcome to this site! If you have used extract with steeped Grains, you have already got what you need to BIAB. All grain brewing brewing only needs a kettle, and a bag. A good thermometer and a hydrometer will help make the beast beer you can!
If you have any questions, please ask us, we have some of the smartest Brewers in the world here!

Hi my name is John and I'm adicted to home brewing :)

I'm currently in NC,USA and have been brewing for almost a year. Mostly extract from a kit.
Several months ago I stumbled upon a post in another homebrew site that mentioned BIAB and referenced this site.
I read several posts and decided to give it a try, as I'm jot quite ready to go whole grain.

I found a recipe here and converted it from a 20 gal batch to 5, with tools found here.
While brewing BIAB is more time consuming and technical over a kit, it was very enjoyable.
The beer turned out to be the best I've brewed yet! Even the club members where impressed (all whold grain brewers)

I look forward to learning more and helping out if I can.

Good Day Johnt3, Welcome Aboard. It's good to hear your first BIAB went well. Here in the U.S. some of the Internet brew dealers offer All Grain Kits, Northern Brewer is one. While you feel BIAB is more time consuming, Talk with people who do 3 Vessel brewing. If you would like to try Full Volume BIAB brewing, it is simple and you may only get 70%-75% effiency, but get a very good beer! Good Luck with your next batch!!

My name's Adam and I'm from Maryland, USA. I found the site while researching the Spiedel BrauMeister (what a nice brewing machine). I've been brewing all-grain for the past few years, but until recently, mostly only 5-gallon batches. Then about 4 months ago, I started brewing with a neighbor on his 15 gallon brew setup on a few brews. He's even let me borrow his brew rig for the past few months for my own brewing. While I've been using it as best as I can, I'm finding his setup is a bit quirky for my tastes, and just doesn't seem right for me. I'm also spending twice as long brewing with the new setup as I have in the past, so I'm looking to build something quite a bit easier to work on and that saves time, but is still be able to do the larger batches. BIAB sounds like it might be a more simple way to go, so I'm keen on giving it a try...

Hello! JP from west of Denver, CO. I'm a chemical engineer in medical device R&D. Learning long and hard on homebrewtalk led me here after a fairly recent linked webcast. Just started AG and I was dreading the amount of equipment I was going to buy until I found BIAB. Bought some voile and sewed up a bag on an antique Singer, 1st batch of Pale Ale almost done fermenting now. Can't wait to see pics and download files so I can figure out the correct way to do it!

Welcome aboard crimsonchain and JPitty.

@crimsonchain, you will find BIAB an awful lot cheaper than the Braumeister. But if the need ever arises, there is plenty of bling you can add if you feel you have to.

@JPitty, now that you are a registered member, all files and photos should be available for you. I'd say that if you already have a batch of Pale Ale in the fermenter, then you are doing something, if not everything, right already :)

Hi,
Steve from the UK here. Been brewing wine for years along with the odd beer kit but have since jumped to all grain brewing. Decided to go the BIAB route after much reading here and on other forums that it seemed the obvious choice for its simplicity.
So far I have made 2 biab brews which are sitting in Cornelius kegs maturing, so far they seem pretty good.

Greetings all! I'm Nick from Sheffield in the UK, and I've been brewing in fits and starts for the last 2 years. I've mainly brewed kits, and have "amended" my more recent ones. I had an abortive attempt at moving into extract brewing last year, and had stepped back to kits because of the cost of extract. I still wanted to expand what I was brewing, so had a look for alternatives and found BIAB! I'm hoping to organise a bag by Christmas, and hopefully get my first brew on while I'm off work between Christmas and new year. Until then, I'm devouring every bit of reading I can find about it to try and keep myself going!

Good Day swampy, Biab IS the best way, with the least equipment to go All-Grain. It is simple to make the best beer compare to 3 vessel!

Good Day quantegy, Hope you found the Calculator helpful, and good luck on your first BIAB brew!

Good Day sunny_jimbob, BIAB is the simple way to brew All-Grain, Check http://www.biabrewer.info/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=37 for our BAG topic!
