Hi all.

I´m new to this forum. I´ve never done any home brewing but I am about to start it as a hobby. Having read up on the various techniques used in home brewing i´ve decided on the BIAB approach.

I want to read up on how to set up a gas BIAB from scratch but it seems the information (I think it´s in .pdf) is unaccessable to me. Can somebody help me out?

Thanks :)

Hi everyone,

My name is Brad and I live in colorful Colorado. My son and I recently got back into home brewing. I found out about this great site from someone on the HomeBrewTalk forum.

We are currently looking for a turkey fryer setup so we can try out all-grain brewing. BIAB looks like the way to go.

Can't wait to give it a try.

G'day everyone, I'm Karl and I've recently made the thoroughly exciting decision to jump from k&k/extract brewing to AG BIAB. I'm from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia and started brewing in July 2011.

I am a member of another site, where I heard about and began reading about BIAB, and which lead me to here through a few threads by Pat. I've attended a demo at a LHBS in Melbourne and have most of my rig ready to roll (20ltr urn with ball valve for small but frequent batches).

Being an engineer I tend to get caught up on the process and mechanics of things, and being a stickler for detail I guess this is the perfect hobby for me!

Looking forward to reading a lot, learning a lot, and eventually contributing where my skill/experience warrants it.

Cheers,

Karl (PE)

(edit: removed the list of suggested questions from the bottom of the post...was only there as a reference while I wrote it!)

Hello everybody! I am from Columbus, OH USA. Started brewing extract kits this year and then switched to partial mash. My next brew is going to be an all grain BIAB. I am on Home Brew Talk and Northern Brewers forum and have been reading everything I can find on BIAB. I think BIAB makes sense for my needs, and I am very excited to do my first all grain brew (I am on vacation next week and plan on brewing a Dunkelweiss). Thanks for having me around!

Hi All,
Like quite a few people here I also am from Australia, down in Melbourne. I was lead to this site through the AussieHomeBrewer.com forum. Basically, I have only done kit brewing and I would like to brew AG beer. BIAB seems the most economical way of doing this, so I need to do some research on how to BIAB and this site seem like a good place to start!

Cheers and happy drinking.

Thanks Josh - appreciate the welcome. I've got everything bar a couple of fittings to complete the tap on my urn and I'm good to go - can't wait! Looking forward to utilising and contributing, and adding one to the apparently already biased population of Aussie brewers :P

Hi everybody
I'm from HB California
I'm a new brewer for about 5 months now and have done about 4 batches extract. I been thinking about building an all grain set up but stumbled on BIAB site on home brew talk. This method looks simple and easy to clean so I'm looking forward to learning and getting my first BIAB done here soon.

Hi everyone. My name is Chris Young. I live in Columbus Ohio, USA. I found this site while looking for information on BIAB. I stumbled onto this technique on YouTube and the simplicity it seems to offer is very interesting to me. I have not brewed before but I have access to a lot of great information and at this point I don't see any reason why I should start with an extract brew. Why not just jump into all grain? Am I being naive? Should I get the basics of boiling wort, fermenting and bottling down before I do all grain?

I'm a sales engineer for a company called ADTRAN who is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of telecommunications equipment.

Thanks for providing this excellent source of information.

Hey there,
Another BIAB noob here. I stumbled across this site from searching Google for all kinds of BIAB info. I'm pretty new to brewing but have been reading a ton and picking things up fairly quickly. So far all I've done is extract brewing, but I'm currently building my BIAB setup. I hope to be able to have it ready to go in two weeks!

Thanks for the great site, I've come across tons of useful info already without even being a fully registered member.

Prost!
Justin

Greetings!

I have been brewing for several years and have to admit this is the first time i have heard of BIAB. I actually noticed the acronym in Beersmith and wondered what it was so I googled it and found this site! I am currently residing in Utah, a land not known for its beers. I have done a few extract batches and many many AG batches and am excited to try my hand at BIAB. Ive got to say, it sounds like a fantastic idea. It sounds so much simpler than AG brewing while still retaining most of the benefits. excited to get started!

Hey Rick here from Montreal, Canada.
I've been breewing AG for the past couple of years and heard about BIAB. I'm looking for a quicker brew day and a way to brew indoor during the cold winter days so I figured I'll look into BIAB.

Hi. Stinky here.
I'm in Douglasville Georgia, USA.
I started brewing this May. I just finished batch #15 and the last 5 have been AG using BIAB. I just got a new 15 GAL pot and need to make a new bag. I am using a 24" X 24" bag that worked fine in my turkey fryer but way to small for my new kettle. I found this site while trying to figure out how to make a bag.
