Hi everyone!

I'm a french brewer from Normandy, and because BIAB is not really use in my country, I come here to find informations I can't find anywhere else!

I've been brewing twice already, the first time with a hoped kit, and the second time just steeping some caramalt. Next time I will brew my first Christmas Beer, using BIAB!

I hope I'll be able to help people here and find the advices I need.

Sorry for the mistakes I may have done, my english is not perfect, but I'm working on it! ;)

As always, great to see the huge variety of new members - carter just starting brewing three weeks ago :clap: and Optalix who must be our first member from France :peace:.

1. Where are you from? North Devon, Uk
2. How did you stumble across the site? Recommendation from Jim's Beer Kit forum
3. What you think of it so far? Well laid out, friendly and informative
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using? Have been brewing for a few months, kits and "tweaked" kits.
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household? Yes, sadly!

Your french is not so bad! Quite easy to understand, that's the main point ! ;)

I'll brew my next beer in a few weeks I think, I think I'll take some pictures to show you ! Maybe I'll post my recipe and the way I brew before, so you could give me some advice :) Glad to be your first French member !

Hi all,

I'm a newbie Kit brewer from Dublin, Ireland who's already sick of 'Kit twang'! I would not be brave enough (or have the cash) to switch to All-grain yet, but I'm really excited about BIAB!
Found the site through Google I think, although it was through AHB that I first heard of BIAB.
Really want to have a good read on this site to make sure I start off on the right foot (buying equipment that will last etc)
I'm an architect with a young family and a 'moderately' understanding SWMBO ;)

well if your reading this, you can assume i'm not a bot... phew! thus far i have one biab 1.25gal starter under the belt. had more issues than i thought i would. now off to find a catergory to post.

it was rather confusing as i didn't read anything about how one was to complete the reg process. i'm in the US-cenCalifornia. i initially found you guys for the biab conversian spreadsheet for scaling i believe it was.. then i had quertions and where better to find answers than from the architects?

You should find all the answers to your questions here. Sorry to hear you got a bit confused, I think I recall it took me a while before I figured out the process but its worth it in the end.
At least you only have to do it once.

Generally good-hearted and practical, though some of the limitations for new or guest members makes it a little hard to fully remark on.
4. Have you brewed at all before. If so, for how long and what method are you currently using?
My first brew day was 1/1/11 and it finished around 1:00 AM. I've done steeping/extract batches and 3 mini-BIAB. Normally I do 2 BIAB batches in a row to get 5 gallons, though that will change as soon as I get an outdoor burner.
5. Do you work? Are you retired or maybe you run a household?
I work in a deli, though I'm going to school for computer science.

Hi all, I guess I need to post here to become fully signed up. I have been brewing for about 7 months and just now going to BIAB. How does one get to view attachments that are linked to the stickies. It just says I do not have permission.

Welcome bookem ,if I rmember right you should be able to open them now that you have made your first post.Have fun.
P.S. It is a good idea to answer the qustionaire as well.It helps us to get a handle on where you are coming from

Hello - live in Kansas City, MO, USA. Came across this site based on a project linked on another site regarding an automated BIAB electric system.I have done several extract batches and am looking to get back in using an electric keggle. I work full time, so time is worthwhile.

Hi folks. Looking to step up to BIAB after brewing a fairly mediocre extract wheat beer that hit my disappointed taste buds last night. I've been brewing extract for 8 months and hopefully I can learn the rope from you lot :)

Hi I am Brian and live in Brisbane. I recently started brewing again after many years away from the hobby. I have done some extract and partial mash and also full wort kits.
I am exploring all grain and it appears to me that BIAB is the way to go.
I stumbled on the forum while searching for information on BIAB.
I was initially taken by the URN but I am still researching.

I'm a relatively new brewer from Colorado over here in the States. I have four batches under my belt and they have all been extract with specialty grains. This seems to me to be the next logical step and I look forward to my brew session tonight of my first BIAB.
