Hi Brenton,

JestersDarts did a short video of his brew day a month or two ago. Click me!
It's good to show the steps you need to take and how a brew day goes.

Also, where are you from? If you are able, the best thing is to try and get around to someones place and see how they do their brew days.

Hope this helps you out some

There are a few BIAB videos out there but unfortunately, most of them complicate things. For example, JesterDart's video that housecat linked (whilst a good video) uses a second vessel (totally unnecessary as JesterDart's states later in the YouTube comments) but someone contemplating BIAB and watching that is going to get totally confused. (Like so much other BIAB info out there on other sites  .)

There is another one of a Canadian guy (the first one that appears on Google) that is also well made but has a few unfortunate directions / steps in it.

I'm short on time atm but if my memory serves me correctly, this video has no major errors.

Hopefully someone will come up with one that can be used on BIABrewer.info sooner rather than later.

Cheers,
PP

all,
I have been thinking about doing a video for a year and never seem to get to it. Maybe now is the time? I have all the video editing equipment and a HD camera. God knows I am good looking and should attract a lot of female brewers! What do you think? What would be the best points to emphasize?

Emphasise your rugged good looks, your wit and how making beer in a bag makes you more attractive to the ladies :)

Great! Now I have to back up my claims! I am not really sure of what crap I claimed I do? I will get a screenwriter to do the screenplay and an cartoonist to storyboard it. I have a cinematographer in mind for the expansive shots. Editing is important I will get the best. Or? Maybe I will just do it myself? I will have to think this through? stay tuned!

Can' wait to see it Bob!

Make sure you put the bloody bag in the pot before you add the grain to the bag like a normal brewer okay  . If you put the bag in the pot and then the grain you might end up making the official BIABrewer vid - who knows?

For a professional production, you might have to do what the tv guys do and put on some make up though. Will this be a problem for you?

A problem for them. They will need a trowel! I am looking at the calendar to find a filming day. I need to find a day when I expect to be sober. So far I am not having any luck! Maybe next month?

LOL! I can send you a trowel if that helps? I wouldn't worry too much about the sober bit Bob otherwise it may never happen . If it turns out with shaky video and slurred words, just tell everyone you filmed it using the video function on your 1998 model mobile phone :smoke:.

PP,
I am practicing as I type. I am having a beer! Ah no! I am brewing a Black IPA. I don't need practice drinking a beer. I am waiting for mashout and I am stone sober (for the moment) so I can take notes and refine my technique! I am down to 4 kegs of beer and I am getting nervous. Only one of them is a "Hop Monster". My passion!

Hi there Irwazza,

There's a new three part one here. I've only had a quick flick through it.

She gives very good detail but there are a few 'factual' errors in it (eg ignore iodine comments) and I think she's thrown in a bit of a sparge which means it isn't 'pure single vessel BIAB'. (Certainly a perfectly acceptable variation though.)

Not sure what she means by 60% efficiency. I'd have to watch the whole lot to find out what's going on but I really think she does an excellent job.

We are still waiting on Bob's video :).

This was the video that made me decide to do BIAB after only 3 extract brews. I really liked it!

The script is coming along fine. Everything is in hand. (PP not what you think)! Patience has it's reward.

Just heard that Tom Cruise is going to be Bobs body double for the nude scenes. Although Bob has insisted he will do his own stunts if it involves drinking and falling off bar stools.
Why is everyone talking about "Cheese"
