Hi All,
I made some sesame seed bars last night and I was wondering ... could this be used in beer? I think toasted sesame seeds could impart a nice flavour to a brew. Has anyone tried this? I imagine that hey can get stuck while sparging or clump a lot!

I'd imagine that they would be quite potent. I've used Sesame seed oil in chinese cooking and its strong stuff, a little goes a long way. I'd worry about them being an oily grain, but saying that allsorts of things end up in brews so give it a go
. You could always add a drop of oil to a bottle and see how it tastes.

I have some leftover pineapple chicken balls in the fridge that I might give a try.
In a lager of course!

look up peanut butter beer. i think the tricky thing is the oiliness which is similar.
also, personally i don't think sesame seed beer would taste very good. Tahini Beer...
