Would be good for cleaning too, pour sanitizer into the top of the manifold... Or have soda water as the top picnic tap...

I see you are going through what we did some time ago Zap. The more thought that you put into it the more complex the design can become.
However I do like your thoughts, a simple station where only one beer can be poured at a time, from a single tap, with multiple inputs. I can see that it will be done one day and whoever gets it to work may just be able to retire.

I think the design in this post would work a treat if the rotating collar is lengthened to go through a fridge door. The pinching of the lines happens in the fridge but the turning is on the outside. In-between the pinching and the turning all lines come to a single point, whereby it is connected to a single tap in the centre of the turning part (selector). This way you can have multiple beers from a single tap, simply select the beer you want, open the tap and enjoy.

The other thing I saw is you can get Soda Pythons. They're the things you see in pubs with the buttons. They use hydraulic switching and can dispense any liquid....

No reason not to use Beer instead of Soda... but you'd probably have to clean them

I love this thread! Thanks a heap for reviving it zap and with such well thought-out posts :champ:. Lots of clever thinking there - please continue .

Good timing too as I finally was able to return my dodgy kegs and so am ready for a complete fridge re-build.

Thanks also to hashie for reminding me of the old stuff and to Stux for providing that link. You three have given me lots to think on. Really want to get this new set-up 'perfect'.

:peace:
