Hi brew mates,
I've been reading the forum a lot, very nice informations you got there. I'm interested in doing my first one stage fermentation in a bucket but I couldn't find how to do it, what is the technique for that!
How much time do I need to wait? Do I need to drop the temperature in any moment or it's a simple flat temp method? Can I make a dry hoping with the yeast inside the bucket?
Cheers!

that's the only fermentation i ever do. just let it ferment in the bucket. when it's done, transfer it to a keg or a bottling bucket.
you can dry hop if you like. you can cold crash it before transferring too.

Thanks shibolet! Can you tell me more about the cold crash? How is it done? Which temperature? How many days? I'm a noob :-)

if you are able to control the temp, than when the fermentation is all finished, drop the temp (slowly if you can) to as low as 0-2 C for two or three days.

How much time your full fermatations (primary + cold crash) take in total? About 10 days? I read at HomeBrewTalk foruns that a one stage fermentation take about a month.

10-14 days for ales. i usually just let it go for 14-20 days and then crash it.

fcmenezes A 1 month ferment isn't uncommon with lagers at lower temperatures, however it wouldn't be any different whether single of secondary fermented.
