How many Kettle elements do I need for a 50 Litre pot to do a normal size brew.
The elements are 2.4KW and the voltage in England is 240v

Thanx for the reply Joshua,
Surely I do not need 4500watt element in a 50 Litre pot?
I was hoping that 2.4Kw would be enough!
Has anyone else only got a 2.4Kw in a 50 Litre pot?
When someone buys a 40 Litre Urn that's only got one element in it, which is why I thought one element is enough.

jimbeefish uses a Peco Electrim. It uses a 240v 2.4Kw element and a 32 litre capacity; http://biabrewer.info/viewtopic.php?f=152&t=3175#p46982

I have 2x 2.4kw in my 50L homemade boiler, one is enough to keep boil rolling.I like to have the backup and its handy if one fails.
